Hebrew
Hebrew (; ; ) is a Northwest Semitic language of the Afroasiatic language family. Historically, it is one of the spoken languages of the Israelites and their longest-surviving descendants, the Jews and Samaritans. It was largely preserved throughout history as the main liturgical language of Judaism (since the Second Temple period) and Samaritanism. ''Divergent'' is the debut novel of American novelist Veronica Roth, published by HarperCollins Children's Books in 2011. The novel is the first of the Divergent trilogy, a series of young adult dystopian novels set in a Divergent Universe. Uriah Heep are an English rock band formed in London in 1969. Their current lineup consists of guitarist Mick Box, keyboardist Phil Lanzon, lead vocalist Bernie Shaw, drummer Russell Gilbrook, and bassist Dave Rimmer. Uriah Heep (character)
Uriah Heep is a fictional character created by Charles Dickens in his 1850 novel ''David Copperfield''. Heep is the primary antagonist during the second part of the novel. His character is notable for his cloying humility, unctuousness, obsequiousness, and insincerity, making frequent references to his own umbleness". His name has become synonymous with sycophancy. In the novel David first meets the 15-year-old Heep when he comes to live with Mr Wickfield and his daughter Agnes. Uriah is a law clerk working for Mr Wickfield. Uriah, Alabama
Uriah is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Monroe County, Alabama. Uriah is located at the junction of State Route 21 and State Route 59. As of the 2020 census, its population was 263, down from 294 at the 2010 census. Demographics History The area was settled around the 1870s after the United States government had removed a majority of the American Indians to west of the Mississippi River. Anglo-Americans, and other Caucasians with predominantly Creek mixture, settled the area, clearing timber and developing farms. When Uriah was full of virgin timber it was originally named Maros. The first three families to own property between Jeddo Road (located in Uriah) and the Atmore city limits were the Hollingers, Dees and Lomaxes. Uriah Tracy (February 2, 1755July 19, 1807) was an American lawyer and politician from Connecticut. He served in the US House of Representatives (1793 to 1796) and the US Senate (1796 to 1807). Uriah Smith Stephens (August 3, 1821 – February 13, 1882) was an American labor leader. He was most notable for his leadership of nine Philadelphia garment workers in founding the Knights of Labor in 1869, a successful early American labor union. Born in New Jersey, and initially educated for the ministry, Stephens was apprenticed as a tailor when he was a teenager so that he could help support his family. He settled in Philadelphia, where he continued to work at his trade. After extensive travel throughout the western United States, Mexico, and Europe in the late 1840s and early 1850s, he returned to Philadelphia, where he worked as a tailor and became active in fraternal organizations and the labor movement. Uriah Smith (May 3, 1832 – March 6, 1903) was a Seventh-day Adventist author, minister, educator, and theologian who is best known as the longest serving editor of the ''Review and Herald'' (now the '' Adventist Review'') for over 50 years. Uriah Smith was an extremely versatile and creative individual. Some of his lesser known contributions include his work as a poet, hymn writer, inventor, and engraver. He patented an artificial leg with a moveable ankle and a school desk with an improved folding seat and several other inventions and improvements. Uriah Rennie
Uriah Rennie (born 23 October 1959 in Sheffield, England) is a retired top level English football referee. He was the first black referee to officiate in games of the Premier League. Career Rennie began refereeing in 1979 in local leagues, then operated in the Northern Premier League until 1994, at which time he was appointed to the Football League List of referees. He was given his first Premiership appointment on 23 August 1997, a game between Leeds United and Crystal Palace at Elland Road. Rennie became a FIFA referee in 2000, and joined the Select Group of professional referees the following year. Keith Hackett, head of the Professional Game Match Officials Board has described him as "the fittest referee we have ever seen on the national and world scene."
