''Uppukandam Brothers'' is a 1993 Indian Malayalam-language action film directed by T. S. Suresh Babu and written by Kaloor Dennis from a story by Thommichan Neendoor. The film stars Captain Raju, Mohan Raj, Babu Antony, Jagadish, Baiju Santhosh, Geetha, Maathu, Siddique, Rajan P. Dev, Prathapachandran, and Jagathy Sreekumar. The film gave a breakthrough for Babu Antony's career. The background score for this film was composed by S. P. Venkatesh. A sequel, Uppukandam Brothers: Back in Action was released on 2011. Kaloor Dennis is an Indian film scriptwriter and novelist in Malayalam movies. He started his career with ''Anubhavangale Nandi'' in 1979. He worked for more than 100 Malayalam movies with the areas of his contribution including script, story and dialogue. Popular movies scripted by him are ''Paithrikam'', ''Oru Kudakkeezhil'', ''New Year'', ''Sandharbham'' and ''Paranju Theeratha Visheshangal'', ''January Oru Ormma'', ''Thooval Sparsham'' vendar Daniel state licency, Kalyanji Anandji, Kalamasseriyil Kalyanayogam, and ''Gajakesariyogam''. Kalpana (Malayalam Actress)
Kalpana Ranjani (5 October 1965 – 25 January 2016), better known mononymously as Kalpana, was an Indian actress who appeared in South Indian films, predominantly in Malayalam and Tamil.
