Bruce Highway Western Alternative is a proposed highway from to in Queensland, Australia. When completed it will reduce traffic on the Bruce Highway and provide a more convenient means of travel to north and south for residents of new developments in and surrounding areas. The Caboolture River is a small river in South East Queensland, Australia. Location and features Formed by runoff from the D'Aguilar Range, the Caboolture River rises below near and flows generally east, joined by two minor tributaries and flowing through , and before entering Deception Bay, part of Moreton Bay, south of . The river descends over its course. The catchment area covers . There are no dams on the waterway, except for a weir and the only major crossing is the Bruce Highway bridge. The Caboolture River is tidal for upstream to the Caboolture Weir. At the river mouth a sand bar reduces the impact of tidal energy. Increased urbanisation in the catchment is posing a significant environmental threat to the river, particularly land clearing which is fragmenting pockets of forest. Rocksberg is a rural locality in the City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. In the , Rocksberg had a population of 300 people. In April 2023, the Queensland Government decided to reflect the growing population of the region by creating five new localities named Corymbia, Greenstone, Lilywood, Wagtail Grove, and Waraba by excising parts of the existing localities of Bellmere, Rocksberg, Upper Caboolture, and Wamuran. Prior to land redistribution, parts of Corymbia, Greenstone, and Wagtail Grove were part of Rockberg. Geography The Caboolture River flows from north to east through the locality with Zillmans Crossing () being a former ford (now a low-level bridge) across the river.
