The University of the Cordilleras (UC or UC-BCF; fil, Unibersidad ng Kordilyeras), formerly known as the Baguio Colleges Foundation (BCF), is a Private university, private research Mixed-sex education, coeducational university in Baguio, Philippines. Founded by Benjamin R. Salvosa and his wife Evangelina D. Salvosa in 1946, it offers programs at the Elementary school, elementary, Secondary school, secondary, undergraduate and Graduate school, graduate levels catering to around 18,000 students. It has three campuses all located in Baguio. The main campus is at the city center, near the Baguio Cathedral and SM City Baguio. The University of the Philippines College of Law (often referred to as UP Law) is the law school of the University of the Philippines Diliman. Governor Pack Road
The Governor Pack Road is a major highway in Baguio, Philippines, named for the American William F. Pack, who was appointed Military Governor of Benguet on November 15, 1901, and served as the civilian Governor of Mountain Province from 1909 to 1915. Session Road is a six-lane major road in Baguio, Philippines. The entire road forms part of the National Route 231 (N231) of the Philippine highway network. Team Lakay Wushu
Team Lakay, is a martial arts group based in La Trinidad, Philippines. Officially named Lakay MMA Top Team, it is also known as Lakay Wushu or Lakay MMA. The group was founded in 2003 by mixed martial artist Marquez Sangiao. Sangiao was also head coach of the Cordillera chapter in Baguio for Wushu, and a seasoned martial artist with past experience in kickboxing, taekwondo, and Jiu-Jitsu as well as a martial arts instructor at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) and a coach for Wushu at the University of the Cordilleras in Baguio City. Team Lakay fighters use a distinctive style which has its roots in Wushu Sanshou. The success of fighters such as Eduard Folayang, Honorio Banario and Kevin Belingon has helped to establish a reputation in the MMA scene. Philippine Bar Examination
The Philippine Bar Examination is the professional licensure examination for lawyers in the Philippines. The exam is exclusively administered by the Supreme Court of the Philippines through the Supreme Court Bar Examination Committee. Brief history The first Philippine Bar Exams was conducted in 1901 with only 13 examinees. The third Philippine Bar Exam took place in 1903 but the results were released in 1905. José I. Quintos obtained the highest rating of 96.33%, Sergio Osmeña, Sr. was second with 95.66%, F. Salas was third with 94.5% and Manuel L. Quezon fourth with 87.83%. The first bar exam in 1901 has only 13 examinees, while the 2008 bar examination is the 107th (given per Article 8, Section 5, 1987 Constitution).
