Union Township is one of the fourteen townships of Union County, Ohio, United States. The 2010 census found 1,763 people in the township, 792 of whom lived in the village of Milford Center. History Milford Center was originally called Milford, and under the latter name was platted in 1816. The village was incorporated in 1853. A post office was established as Milford in 1823; the name was changed to Milford Centre in 1829, and was finally changed again to Milford Center in 1893. Allen Township, Union County, Ohio
Allen Township is one of the fourteen townships of Union County, Ohio, United States. The 2010 census found 2,263 people in the township. History Statewide, other Allen Townships are located in Darke, Hancock, and Ottawa Counties. Allen Township was organized on June 5, 1827. The town was named for Daniel Allen, one of the first settlers to the area. Allen was one of the first thirteen citizens to vote in the township, and was one of the first trustees.
