Ultimate Vision (comic Book)
''Ultimate Vision'' was a five-issue long comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics during 2005 to 2007 under the Ultimate Marvel imprint. The series is a sequel to The Ultimate Galactus Trilogy and follows Vision leaving Earth. It is written by Mike Carey with art by Brandon Peterson. Plot After leaving Earth, Vision encountered a "distress" signal from an A.I.M. space station. However, the signal was a ruse concocted by the station's commander George Tarleton. Tarleton tricked Vision into reactivating an intact Gah Lak Tus module left over from the devastation of the Ultimate Nullifier under the guise that they would order it to self-destruct. During her brief tour of the station, Vision befriended an artificially created girl named Dima. After she helped in "deactivating" the module, the power of the module was transferred to Tarleton. Limited Series (comics)
In the field of comic books, a limited series is a comics series with a predetermined number of issues. A limited series differs from an ongoing series in that the number of issues is finite and determined before production, and it differs from a one shot in that it is composed of multiple issues. The term is often used interchangeably with miniseries (mini-series) and maxiseries (maxi-series), usually depending on the length and number of issues. In Dark Horse Comics' definition of a limited series, "this term primarily applies to a connected series of individual comic books. A limited series refers to a comic book series with a clear beginning, middle and end". Dark Horse Comics and DC Comics refer to limited series of two to eleven issues as miniseries and series of twelve issues or more as maxiseries, but other publishers alternate terms. Ultimate Vision
The Vision is a fictional character, a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Roy Thomas and artist John Buscema, the character first appeared in ''The Avengers (comic book), Avengers'' #57 (published in August 1968, with a cover date of October 1968), and is loosely based on the Timely Comics Vision (Timely Comics), character of the same name who was an alien from another dimension. Mike Carey (writer)
Mike Carey (born 1959), also known by his pen name M. R. Carey, is a British writer of comic books, novels and films, whose credits include the long-running '' The Sandman'' spin-off series ''Lucifer'', a three-year stint on ''Hellblazer'', as well as his creator-owned titles '' Crossing Midnight'' and '' The Unwritten'' for DC Comics' Vertigo imprint, a lengthy run on Marvel's ''X-Men'', the 2014 novel '' The Girl with All the Gifts'' and its 2016 film adaptation. Brandon Peterson is an American comic book writer and artist, known for his work on Marvel Comics from Paterson New Jersey and Top Cow's '' Codename: Strykeforce'' in the 1990s. Career Peterson's early works for Marvel include a ''New Warriors'' annual and a fill-in in '' X-Factor'' in 1992. Later in the year, he had a short run in ''Uncanny X-Men'', drawing the title's issues of the "X-Cutioner's Song" storyline. Peterson left Marvel to join Top Cow, pencilling the ongoing title ''Codename: Strykeforce''. Ultimate Marvel
Ultimate Marvel, later known as Ultimate Comics, was an imprint of comic books published by Marvel Comics, featuring re-imagined and modernized versions of the company's superhero characters from the Ultimate Marvel Universe. Those characters include Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Ultimates (the Ultimate Marvel Universe counterpart of the Avengers), the Fantastic Four, and others.
