Ulster Senior Club Football Championship
The Ulster Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition played between the top clubs in Ulster GAA. The trophy awarded to the winners is the Seamus McFerran Cup ( ga, Corn Shéamuis Mhic Fearáin). The winners and the Connacht, Leinster, Munster and London champions compete in the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. Glen are the current champions, having beaten Kilcoo in the 2022 final. Crossmaglen Rangers from Armagh have won the most titles with eleven wins. Competition format Each of the nine counties of Ulster organise a county championship annually for their top clubs. The nine county champions compete in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship in a knock-out format. 2022 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship
The 2022 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship was the 54th instalment of the annual competition organised by Ulster GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2022–23 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. Kilcoo from Down were the defending Ulster champions, having beaten Fermanagh's Derrygonnelly Harps in the 2021 final. Derry champions Glen won their first Ulster title by beating Kilcoo in the final. Crossmaglen Rangers Gaelic Athletic Club ( ga, Raonaithe na Croise) is a GAA club in Crossmaglen, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. They cater for Gaelic football and camogie. Naomh Conaill CLCG is a GAA club for the Glenties parish in south-west County Donegal. As well as the town of Glenties, the club also covers the area to the village of Fintown and the areas of Kilraine, The Glen and Maas down to the Gweebara Bridge. Impact Of The COVID-19 Pandemic On Gaelic Games
As with other sports, the COVID-19 pandemic caused disruption to Gaelic games, primarily in Ireland but also elsewhere in the world. Competitions were cancelled, postponed or restructured, while some teams were withdrawn or were unable to participate in those competitions that went ahead. The sports ( football, hurling, camogie, and ladies' football) saw all competitions suspended from 12 March 2020. The National Hurling League, National Football League, National Camogie League and Ladies' National Football League, which were all running at the time, were suspended, with competitions not intended to resume until 29 March at the earliest. Derrygonnelly Harps is a Gaelic football club from Derrygonnelly in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, founded in 1924. The club participates in Fermanagh competitions and has won the Fermanagh Senior Football Championship nine times. The club colours are purple and yellow.
