Ufo Robot Grendizer
, known as '' Grandizer'' in the United States, is a Japanese Super Robot anime television series and manga created by manga artist Go Nagai. It is the third entry in the '' Mazinger'' series, however it is non-canon due to '' Mazinger Z: Infinity'' taking place losely 10 years after ''Great Mazinger'', discarding any connection other than Koji Kabuto and Boss to the ''Mazinger'' anime storyline, the manga however takes place in the same timeline as the Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger in an unspecified timeskip after Great Mazinger. The anime television series was produced by Toei Doga and Dynamic Planning and broadcast on Fuji TV from October 5, 1975, to February 27, 1977, and lasted 74 episodes. Mecha
In science fiction, or mechs are giant robots or machines controlled by people, typically depicted as humanoid walking vehicles. Mazinger Z
is a Japanese super robot manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. The first manga version was serialized in Shueisha's ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from October 1972 to August 1973, and it later was reissued in Kodansha ''TV Magazine'' from October 1973 to September 1974. It was adapted into an anime television series which aired on Fuji TV from December 1972 to September 1974. Abashiri Ikka
is a Japanese manga series created by Go Nagai that originally ran in the magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Champion''. Some of its characters returned with different names as part of other series, such as ''Cutie Honey'', ''UFO Robot Grendizer'' and '' Mazinger Angels Z'' among others. Some of the first stories were adapted into an original video animation by Studio Pierrot in 1991, distributed by Pony Canyon in four installments as part of ''Anime V Comic Rentaman'', and later released as a standalone VHS and LaserDisc on , also by Pony Canyon. Shogun Warriors (toys)
The Shogun Warriors were the main characters of a line of toys licensed by Mattel Inc. during the late 1970s. They were a series of imported Japanese toys based on several anime and tokusatsu shows featuring giant robots. They were originally manufactured in three sizes: plastic versions, die-cast metal versions, and slightly taller but much more detailed 5-inch (127 mm) die-cast versions. Several vehicles were also offered, as well as a set that could be put together to form the super robot Combattra. Toward the end of production, Mattel proposed the inclusion of plastic toy vehicles for the 3.5" figures to ride in exclusively in the United States, but these toys were never released for purchase.
