The University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (Italian: ''Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale'')—Unicas—was established in 1979. It is an Italian public university whose headquarters is in Cassino, while three branches are located in Frosinone, Atina and Sora. With nine programmes (six Master's degrees and three Bachelor's degrees) entirely taught in English and more than 1500 international students from 58 different nationalities, Unicas is now established as a district for International Studies, a significant excellence among Italian universities. Cassino () is a ''comune'' in the province of Frosinone at the southern end of the region of Lazio. It's the last city of the Valle Latina, Latin Valley. It is located at the foot of Monte Cairo near the confluence of the Gari (river), Gari and Liri rivers and on the via Casilina between Rome and Naples. Frosinone (; local dialect: ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Italian region of Lazio, administrative seat of the province of Frosinone.
