The second season of the American television series '' Star Trek: Strange New Worlds'' follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship ''Enterprise'' in the 23rd century as they explore new worlds and carry out missions during the decade before '' Star Trek: The Original Series'' (1966–1969). The season was produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout, Weed Road Pictures, H M R X Productions, and Roddenberry Entertainment, with Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers as showrunners. Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, and Rebecca Romijn respectively star as Pike, Spock, and Number One, along with Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, and Babs Olusanmokun. Many of the regular actors and several guest stars portray younger versions of characters from ''The Original Series''. Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award
The Creative Arts Emmys are a class of Emmy Awards presented in recognition of technical and other similar achievements in American television programming. They are commonly awarded to behind-the-scenes personnel such as production designers, set decorators, video editors, costume designers, cinematographers, casting directors, and sound editors. The Creative Arts category includes additional awards for outstanding animated programs, commercials, and guest actors. The first Creative Arts Emmys were held in 1970 alongside the 22nd Primetime Emmy Awards due to the growing number of categories at the time. Kay Hanley
Kay Hanley (born September 11, 1968) is an American singer and songwriter. She is best known as the vocalist for the alternative rock band Letters to Cleo. Life and career Hanley grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts, across the street from the Wahlberg family. She attended school at St. Gregory's and Latin Academy. She has been lead singer/songwriter for rock band Letters To Cleo since 1990. The band name was inspired by Hanley's childhood penpal. In 1996, she co-starred alongside Gary Cherone in Boston Rock Opera's performance of ''Jesus Christ Superstar'' as Mary Magdalene. In 1999, Hanley appeared as herself in the film ''10 Things I Hate About You'', singing a cover version of Nick Lowe's " Cruel to Be Kind" to Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles at their characters' high school prom, in addition to performing original song "Come On" with Letters to Cleo during an earlier scene at a club. ''Star Trek: Lower Decks'' is an American adult animated science fiction television series created by Mike McMahan for the streaming service CBS All Access (later rebranded as Paramount+).
