''UNCONDITIONAL'' is a 2023 American documentary film from MSNBC/NBC News anchor and filmmaker Richard Lui. Seven years in the making, it profiles three families at the intersection of mental health and caregiving as they turn the corner, showing the power of relearning how to love. The film held its World Premiere at Universal Studios Hollywood on May 2, 2023. The documentary is the most widely distributed of 2023. It was released in select theaters nationwide through a theatrical community partnership of AMC Theatres, Universal Pictures and Deluxe. It is expected to be qualified for the 96th Academy Awards. The film was broadcast nationwide by distributor American Public Television, and debuted on cable on MSNBC as the top-rated program in its time slot. On May 10, 2023, First Lady Jill Biden hosted a screening of the film at the White House, with the filmmakers, and cast, and military family caregivers in attendance. Richard Lui () is an American author, journalist, and filmmaker. He anchors for MSNBC and NBC News. Lui is currently a breaking news anchor for NBC and MSNBC, broadcasting from 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. prior to that role he was a co-host of Early Today, and anchor of MSNBC daytime coverage. He was formerly at CNN Worldwide. Lauren Zoe Hernandez (born June 9, 2000) is an American retired artistic gymnast. During her debut year as a senior gymnast, she competed as a member of the U.S. women's gymnastics team dubbed the " Final Five" that won the team gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Montel Brian Anthony Williams (born July 3, 1956) is an American television host and actor. He is known for hosting the daytime tabloid talk show '' The Montel Williams Show'', which ran in syndication from 1991 to 2008.
