Udi Gal
Udi Gal ( he, אודי גל; born June 11, 1979) is an Israeli Olympic sailor, who is a sailing world championship three-time bronze medalist. Biography Gal is Jewish, and was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. He started sailing at 8 years of age, and started racing at 13 years of age. He competes with the club Hapoel Tel Aviv. He competed with partner Gideon Kliger in two-man competitions from the outset of his career, through 2009. The first event he won was the Youth Europeans 420, in 1996. In 1998 he and Kliger won the European Youth Championships, and in 2001 they finished second in the European Championship in Ireland. In 2004 he was chosen as chair of the Israel Olympic Committee's athletes section. He and Kliger won bronze medals in the Sailing 470 World Championship for three straight years in Men's 470-Class Two-Person Dinghy — in 2006–08. Dan Froyliche
Dan Froyliche ( he, דן פרויליך; born November 18, 1992) is an Israeli Olympic sailor. He sails with Eyal Levin. Early life Froyliche was born and lives in Gan Hashomron, Israel, as small coastal town on the Mediterranean Sea between Tel Aviv and Haifa. Sailing career Froyliche started sailing and racing at the age of nine, and his first boat was an Optimist single-handed dinghy. His sailing club is Sdot Yam Yacht Club, in Kibbutz Sdot Yam, Israel. The main class that he originally sailed in was the 420 4.2-metres-long double-handed dinghy, and now the main class that he sails in is the 470 4.7-metres-long double-handed dinghy. He sails as the crew. In 2009 he and Yoav Levi came in second in the 420 Junior Europeans. In 2010, they won the gold medal at the 420 Junior European Championship. The International 420 Dinghy is a sailing dinghy popular for racing and teaching. The hull is fiberglass with internal buoyancy tanks. The 420 has a bermuda rig and an optional spinnaker and trapeze. It has a large sail-area-to-weight ratio, and is designed to plane easily. It can be rigged to be sailed single-handed or double-handed. The 420 is an International class recognized by World Sailing. The name refers to the boat's length of . History The International 420 was designed by Christian Maury. The class developed rapidly in France, being adopted nationally as a youth trainer for the larger Olympic class International 470.
