U.S. Route 380
U.S. Route 380 (US 380) is an east–west United States highway. The highway's eastern terminus is in Greenville, Texas at an intersection with Interstate 30, of which the easternmost 3–4 miles are concurrent with US 69 in a loop around the west and south sides of Greenville. Its western terminus is at San Antonio, New Mexico, south of Socorro at an intersection with Interstate 25. It intersected with its parent, U.S. Route 80, at Cisco until 1971, when it was rerouted along the former SH 24 from that highway's western terminus near Old Glory to Greenville. Former U.S. Route 380 from Cisco to near Old Glory became an extension of SH 6. The highway no longer connects to any x80 route. US 380 passes through some of the far northern suburbs of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, including (from west to east) Denton, Frisco, McKinney and Princeton. Interstate 25 (I-25), also known as the Pan-American Freeway, is a major Interstate Highway in the western United States. It is primarily a north–south highway, serving as the main route through New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. I-25 stretches from I-10 at Las Cruces, New Mexico (approximately north of El Paso, Texas) to I-90 in Buffalo, Wyoming (approximately south of the Montana–Wyoming border). It passes through or near Albuquerque, New Mexico; Pueblo and Denver in Colorado; and Cheyenne and Casper in Wyoming. The I-25 corridor is mainly rural, especially in Wyoming, excluding the Albuquerque metropolitan area and the Front Range urban corridor from Pueblo to Cheyenne. Jayton, Texas
Jayton is a city in and the county seat of Kent County, Texas, United States. It is located in the northeastern portion of the county, and the population was 511 as of the 2020 census. History Jayton's history begins in the 1880s. Originally known as "Jay Flat", it was established northeast of its present location and named after a local ranching family. A post office was granted in 1886, and Daniel Jay served as the community's first postmaster. In 1907, the townsite was moved to its present location for improved proximity to rail service, and it was officially renamed "Jayton" later that same year. Denton is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the county seat of Denton County.
