Táncsics – Radical Left Party
The Táncsics – Radical Left Party ( hu, Táncsics – Radikális Balpárt) is a left-wing democratic socialist political party in Hungary. It was formed at a meeting in March 2014. It draws its membership from different civil society organizations as well as former members of the Hungarian Socialist Party and the Green Left. The party's aim is to build an independent leftist political force in Hungarian politics based upon social solidarity and following the examples of different leftist parties elsewhere in Europe, such as SYRIZA in Greece and Die Linke in Germany. The party is also trying to build a closer alliance between radical leftist parties in Eastern Europe. The founding statements refer to the Left Party playing an important role in an 'ethical renewal' which they say is needed in Hungary in the next few years. Mihály Táncsics
Mihály Táncsics ( sr, Михајло Танчић, Mihajlo Tančić; 21 April 1799 – 28 June 1884) was a Hungarian writer, teacher, journalist and politician. Life Mihály Táncsics was born on 21 April 1799 in the village of Ácsteszér in the Komárom-Esztergom county of the Kingdom of Hungary. By his own account, his father was of Croatian antecedents and his mother was of Slovak origin, but he was brought up to be a Hungarian-speaker and an ardent Hungarian. He was incarcerated in Pest for his radical political convictions in 1846. He propagated in his pamphlet ''The Word of the People Is God's Word,'' a paraphrase of ''Vox populi, vox Dei''. The pamphlet resulted in his arrest. Táncsics was freed from the Habsburgs's prison on 15 March 1848, the very day when the Hungarian revolution broke out. 2018 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
The 2018 Hungarian parliamentary election took place on 8 April 2018. This parliamentary election was the eighth since the 1990 first multi-party election and the second since the adoption of a new Constitution of Hungary which came into force on 1 January 2012.
