Twin Rivers Unified School District is a school district in McClellan, California, United States. The district office is located at 5115 Dudley Boulevard, McClellan, California. Twin Rivers operates the cleanest school bus fleet in the country, with 25 battery electric buses and ten more on order. It also has 35 buses that run on compressed natural gas and 60 on renewable diesel. History The district was created as a result of the November 2007 approval of Measure B, a proposal to merge the four North Sacramento area school districts: the North Sacramento School District, the Del Paso Heights School District, the Rio Linda Union School District, and the Grant Joint Union High School District. McClellan, California
Sacramento McClellan Airport is a privately owned public-use airport located six miles (10 km) northeast of the central business district of Sacramento, California, Sacramento (a city in Sacramento County, California, Sacramento County, California, United States). The airport is on the former site of McClellan Air Force Base, which existed as a military base from 1939 to 2000. It was transferred to Sacramento County in 2000, as part of its conversion into McClellan Business Park, and was purchased by McClellan Business Park in October 2017. Darren Christopher Oliver (born October 6, 1970) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He is a second generation major league player, as his father Bob Oliver played in the major leagues for nine seasons between 1967 and 1975. Early life Oliver is the son of former infielder Bob Oliver. Darren played baseball and basketball at Rio Linda High School in Rio Linda, California. George Wright (organist)
George Wright (August 28, 1920 in Orland, California – May 10, 1998 in Glendale, California) was an American musician, possibly the most famous virtuoso of the theatre organ of the modern era. Wright was best known for his virtuoso performances on the huge Wurlitzer theater pipe organs at the famed Fox Theater on Market Street in San Francisco and the ornate Paramount Theaters in both New York City and Oakland. In the early1940s he was an active performer on radio, first on the west coast; in 1944 he was transferred to New York City by NBC, and played numerous radio shows from 1944-1951. In 1948 he was hired as solo organist at the Paramount Theatre in Times Square. He left New York in 1951. Alan Scott Galbraith (born January 7, 1967) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Green Bay Packers. He was part of the Super Bowl XXVIII championship team over the Buffalo Bills. He played college football at the University of Southern California. Grantland L. Johnson (September 29, 1948 – August 19, 2014) was a Sacramento-area politician and former Secretary of California's Health and Human Services Agency, the first African-American to hold the position. He was born in the Del Paso Heights neighborhood in northern section of Sacramento, California. The Alaska Aces were a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association since 1986 under the ownership of Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) and the owner of 14 PBA championships, tied with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the Magnolia Hotshots for the second-most titles overall. They are one of the most popular teams in the league and the Philippines. Sean Chambers (born February 27, 1965) is a retired American professional basketball player, best known for being a resident import of the Alaska Aces basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association from 1989–2001. Career Beginning his collegiate career at Cuesta College, Chambers led the Cougars to a 20-11 season as a sophomore, highlighted by averaging 22.8 points per game. A two-time NABC all-American while playing for Cal Poly in California, Chambers was asked to try out for the United States Athletics team to the 1988 Seoul Olympics but preferred to stick to basketball. He once held the record in high jump for his school. Chambers went to Manila with the Los Angeles Jaguars to play in the first PBA-IBA World Challenge series.
