Tsum Valley
The Tsum Valley is a valley situated in Gorkha district of western Nepal at an altitude of . The valley lies inside the jurisdiction of the Manaslu Conservation Area which was established in 1998. The valley has 33 villages with 529 households and the population is 1,810. The lower part of the valley is steep and has less settlement. The Tsumba are the indigenous people of the valley. Gorkha District
Gorkha District ( ne, गोरखा जिल्ला ), a part of Gandaki Province, is one of the 77 districts of Nepal, which is the fourth largest district (by area) of Nepal and connected historically with the creation of the modern Nepal and the name of the legendary Gorkha soldiers. The district, with Gorkha Municipality (previously known as Prithivi Narayan Nagarpalika) as its district headquarters, covers an area of and has a population of 252,201 according to the 2021 Nepal census. Gorkha district is the site of the Manakamana Temple. The temples of Gorakh Nath and Gorakh Kali are found in the district. Manaslu Conservation Area
The Manaslu Conservation Area is a protected area in Nepal. Established in 1998, it covers in the Mansiri Himal range of the Himalayas in the Gorkha District. The area comprises mountains, glaciers, and watercourses. In elevation, the area ranges from , the highest point being the peak of Manaslu. Flora and fauna The region is home to 33 species of mammals including snow leopard, musk deer and Himalayan tahr. There are over 110 species of birds and three species of reptiles and over 1500–2000 species of flowering plants.
