Troefcall
Troefcall is a card game from Suriname with similarities to belote and hearts, and to the Indian game court piece of which it might be a derivative. There are competitions organized by troefcall federations in the Netherlands (Troefcall Sportbond Nederland, TSBN) and in Suriname (Surinaamse Troefcall Bond, STcB). It is estimated that more than one hundred thousand people from both countries play this card game. Via Surinamese Dutch the card game was introduced in the Netherlands. People from all Surinamese population groups play this game. Court Piece
Court Piece (also known as Hokm ( fa, ), Rung (Urdu:) and Rang) is a trick-taking card game similar to the card game whist in which eldest hand makes trumps after the first five cards have been dealt, and trick-play is typically stopped after one party has won seven tricks. A bonus is awarded if one party wins the first seven tricks, or even all tricks. The game is played by four players in two teams, but there are also adaptations for two or three players. Derived games have removed the special role of eldest hand or have added features such as the 2 of hearts as the highest trump (''satat''), the need to win two consecutive tricks in order to pick up tricks (''double sar''), or counting tens rather than tricks (''dehla pakad''). Belote () is a 32-card, trick-taking, Ace-Ten game played primarily in France and certain European countries, namely Armenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Luxembourg, Moldova, North Macedonia (mainly Bitola), Bosnia and Herzegovina and also in Saudi Arabia. It is one of the most popular card games in those countries, and the national card game of France, both casually and in gambling. Hearts (card Game)
Hearts is an "evasion-type" trick-taking playing card game for four players, although most variations can accommodate between three and six players. It was first recorded in America in the 1880s and has many variants, some of which are also referred to as "Hearts", especially the games of Black Lady and Black Maria. The game is a member of the Whist group of trick-taking games (which also includes Bridge and Spades), but is unusual among Whist variants in that it is a trick-avoidance game; players avoid winning certain penalty cards in tricks, usually by avoiding winning tricks altogether. The original game of Hearts is still current, but has been overtaken in popularity by Black Lady in the United States and Black Maria in Great Britain. A trump is a playing card which is elevated above its usual rank in trick-taking games. Typically, an entire suit is nominated as a ''trump suit''; these cards then outrank all cards of plain (non-trump) suits.
