Toyota Yaris WRC
The Toyota Yaris WRC is a World Rally Car designed by Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT to compete in the World Rally Championship. The car is based on the Toyota Vitz#XP130, Vitz-based XP130 Toyota Yaris, and is the first car Toyota have competed with in the WRC since withdrawing from the championship at the end of the 1999 World Rally Championship season, 1999 season to focus on their Le Mans Prototype and Formula One programmes. The car was driven by Sébastien Ogier, Elfyn Evans, Ott Tänak, Kalle Rovanperä and Takamoto Katsuta. The car entered its testing and development phase in March 2014, ahead of its début in the 2017 World Rally Championship, 2017 season. Development and operation of the cars would be overseen by four-time World Drivers' Champion Tommi Mäkinen, and entered under the banner of Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT. World Rally Car
A World Rally Car is a racing automobile built to the specific regulations set by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and designed for competition in the World Rally Championship (WRC). The cars were introduced in 1997 as a replacement for Group A regulations used in the manufacturers' championship, and were replaced by Group Rally1 in 2022. The 2021 Rally Monza (also known as FORUM8 ACI Rally Monza 2021) was a motor racing event for rally cars that held over four days between 18 and 21 November 2021. It marked the forty-second running of Monza Rally Show and was the twelfth and final round of the 2021 World Rally Championship, World Rally Championship-2, World Rally Championship-3. 2017 Rally Sweden
The 2017 Rally Sweden (formally known as the Rally Sweden 2017) was a motor racing event for rally cars that was held over three days between 10 and 12 February 2017. It marked the sixty-fifth running of the Rally Sweden, and was the second round of the 2017 World Rally Championship and the WRC-2 and WRC-3 championships. Toyota's driver Jari-Matti Latvala won the rally ahead of M-Sport drivers Ott Tänak and Sébastien Ogier who finished second and third, respectively. The win for Toyota was their first after their return to the WRC after a 17 year absence. Latvala had inherited the lead after rally leader Thierry Neuville had crashed out on the final stage of leg 2. The Belgian had a lead of 43.3 seconds before ripping a wheel off in the second run of the Karlstad stage, promoting Latvala to first place. The 2017 Monte Carlo Rally (formally known as the 85ème Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo) is a motor racing event for rally cars that was held over four days between 19 and 22 January 2017. Mobil 1 is a brand of synthetic motor oil and other automotive lubrication products. Originally developed by the Mobil oil company, it is now globally marketed and sold by ExxonMobil. Mobil 1 engine oil was introduced in 1974. The brand range now includes a variety of engine oils, oil filters, chassis grease, transmission fluids, and gear lubricants.
