''Totally Hot'' is the tenth studio album by British-Australian singer Olivia Newton-John, released on 21 November 1978. Commercially, it became her first top-ten album on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart since ''Have You Never Been Mellow'' (1975). Dressed on the album cover all in leather, Newton-John's transformation was seen to mirror her character Sandy's transformation in '' Grease''. At the time, ''Totally Hot'' was her most successful album, and became her first album to receive a Platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Allan Carr (born Allan Solomon; May 27, 1937 – June 29, 1999) was an American producer and manager of stage for the screen. Carr was nominated for numerous awards, winning a Tony Award and two People's Choice Awards, and was named Producer of the Year by the National Association of Theatre Owners. ''Boats Against the Current'' is a 1977 album by Eric Carmen. The title is taken from a line in the novel ''The Great Gatsby'' by F. Scott Fitzgerald, “So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.” It was Carmen's second solo LP, after the Raspberries disbanded. It peaked at #45 on the Billboard album chart for the week ending October 8, 1977. The album yielded two charting singles, the title track as well as "She Did It." Alan Tarney (born 19 November 1945) is an English record producer and musician. He was born in Northside, Workington, Cumberland, but spent his teenage years in Adelaide, Australia, where he met his songwriting and musical partner Trevor Spencer. He is best known for his association with Cliff Richard and producing " Take On Me" by a-ha. Trevor Spencer (born 1947 in Adelaide, Australia) is an Australian songwriter, record producer and drummer. He studied drums and percussion from the age of 10. ''Love Performance'' is the first live album by Australian singer-songwriter Olivia Newton-John. It was recorded in 1976, during the Love Performance Tour, in Japan. The tour promoted her 1976 album, ''Don't Stop Believin'''. The album was released only in 1981 by EMI Music Japan (formerly Toshiba EMI). The vinyl LP sold 123,590 and the cassette 10,600 copies in Japan. No re-release has been made since the original issue, making this a coveted item among Olivia's fans. However, six tracks were released as bonus tracks on the re-release of some Newton-John studio albums, which were included in the box '' 40th Anniversary Collection'', released by Universal Music Japan.
