Top Chef Masters (season 5)
The fifth season of ''Top Chef Masters'' was announced on May 16, 2013. Gail Simmons appeared as the new head critic for the competition. In addition, Lesley Suter, the food and dining editor for ''Los Angeles Magazine'', joined the judging panel alongside James Oseland, Ruth Reichl, and Francis Lam. The season premiered on July 24, 2013, with 13 award-winning chefs competing in weekly challenges to win the grand prize of $100,000 (USD) for their charity and the title of "Top Chef Master". Each ''Top Chef Masters'' contestant had their sous-chef compete in a series of separate challenges called the "''Battle of the Sous Chefs''". David Burke (chef)
David Burke (born February 27, 1962) is an American chef and restaurateur, known for his appearance on the reality TV program '' Iron Chef America''. Early life Born in Brooklyn NY and raised in Hazlet, New Jersey, Burke is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and a student at Culinary Institute Lenôtre in Plaisir, France. SkyHawks Parachute Team
The SkyHawks are the Canadian Forces Parachute Demonstration Team. Based at CFB Trenton in Trenton, Ontario, they are a sub-unit of the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC). The team consists of both permanent members and temporary members from the Regular and Reserve Forces. They act as ambassadors for the Canadian Forces at special events, airshows and events. Jennifer Jasinski is an American chef who owns and runs several restaurants in Denver, Colorado. She won the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Southwest Chef in 2013.
