''Tonight'' was a British current affairs television programme, presented by Cliff Michelmore, that was broadcast on BBC live on weekday evenings from 18 February 1957 to 18 June 1965. The producers were the future Controller of BBC1 Donald Baverstock and the future Director-General of the BBC Alasdair Milne. The audience was typically seven million viewers. BBC TV background ''Tonight'' was, like ''Six-Five Special'', created by the BBC to fill in the " Toddlers' Truce" closed period between 6.00pm and 7.00pm (the 'Truce' was officially abolished only a few days before ''Tonight'' was first broadcast). Tonight (Iggy Pop Song)
"Tonight" is a song written by David Bowie and Iggy Pop for the latter's second solo studio album, '' Lust for Life'' (1977). The song was later made into the title-track for Bowie's own album ''Tonight'' (1984). David Bowie version Bowie covered the song with guest singer Tina Turner in 1984 for his sixteenth studio album of the same name. One of three Iggy Pop covers on the album, it was recorded as a duet with Turner, but the single release was only credited to Bowie. The original spoken-word introduction to the 1977 version, establishing that the lyric is addressed to a lover dying of a heroin overdose, was excised from Bowie's version because Bowie regarded it as an "idiosyncrasy" of Iggy Pop that did not match his own personal vocabulary. Bowie also stated that he didn't want to "inflict" that part of the song on Tina Turner, either. Tonight (Humanoid Song)
Brian Dougans (born 1968) is a British musician, and a member of the British electronic duo, the Future Sound of London (FSOL). He is the more technical member of FSOL, doing most of the programming, circuit bending et cetera and creating electronic instruments at his home studio in Glastonbury, Somerset. He is currently head of FSOLdigital (FSOL's record label) and co designer of the FSOL:Digitana SX-1 Synthesiser. Dougans' first releases were as "Humanoid", releasing the acid house single "Stakker Humanoid", which reached number 17 in the UK Singles Chart in 1988, and also charted in 1992 and 2001. "Stakker Humanoid" was No.1 for five weeks in the UK Dance Chart (December 1988) and has been cited as a major influence on early Aphex Twin releases. "Tonight" is a song by American singer and rapper Doja Cat featuring American rapper Eve. It was released as the seventeenth track on the deluxe edition of Doja Cat's third studio album ''Planet Her'', which was released through Kemosabe and RCA Records on June 27, 2021. It was originally recorded during a break in the Hysteria World Tour as a possible B-side to one of the singles from their fourth album, '' Hysteria''. but was shelved and re-recorded during the ''Adrenalize'' sessions.
