Toni Müller
Toni Müller (born 10 May 1984) is a curler from Baden, Switzerland. He currently throws fourth stones for Thomas Lips. He is mostly known for serving as the Alternate for Ralph Stöckli's team which finished fourth at the 2009 Moncton World Championships, won a silver at the 2009 Aberdeen European Championships and a bronze medal for Team Switzerland at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. Müller won gold medals at the 2008 and the 2009 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships with his partner Irene Schori. However, they finished seventh at the 2010 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship after being beaten by the Chinese team of Sun Yue and Zhang Zhipeng in an extra end in the quarterfinals. In an interview post-match, Schori stated that she and Müller would consider not attending next year to give a chance to other Swiss teams to compete. Müller throws right-handed. Curling Club Baden Regio
Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules, and shuffleboard. Two teams, each with four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called ''rocks'', across the ice ''curling sheet'' toward the ''house'', a circular target marked on the ice. Each team has eight stones, with each player throwing two. The purpose is to accumulate the highest score for a ''game''; points are scored for the stones resting closest to the centre of the house at the conclusion of each ''end'', which is completed when both teams have thrown all of their stones once. A game usually consists of eight or ten ends. The player can induce a curved path, described as ''curl'', by causing the stone to slowly rotate as it slides. Ralph Stöckli
Ralph Stöckli (born 23 July 1976 in Uzwil) is a Swiss curler from Lucerne. Stöckli began a successful curling career at the junior level, winning a bronze medal at the World Junior Curling Championships as an alternate in 1994. In 1996, he was the Swiss skip and they won a silver medal, losing to James Dryburgh of Scotland. In 1997 Stöckli won the gold medal defeating Perttu Piilo of Finland in the final. Stöckli ended his junior career with a bronze in 1998. After a 7th-place finish at the 2002 Ford World Curling Championship, Stöckli won a silver at the 2003 Ford World Curling Championship- losing to Canada's Randy Ferbey in the final. Stöckli was the skip of the Swiss team at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. The team finished just out of medal contention with a 5-4 record. Markus Eggler
Markus Eggler (born 22 January 1969 in Thun) is a retired Swiss curler from Münchenstein. Eggler was the skip of the Swiss team at the , and World Junior Curling Championships. At the event, he won a bronze medal. He then skipped the Swiss team at the World Curling Championships in 1991, 1992 and 1994. He was the world champion in 1992 when his Swiss team defeated Hammy McMillan's Scottish team in the final 6-3. Eggler won a bronze at the 1994 World Championships and a bronze at the 1993 European Curling Championships. After 1994, Eggler would not return to international curling until 2000 when he played third for Andreas Schwaller at the European Championships. Jan Hauser
Jan Hauser (born 19 January 1985 in Glarus) is a Swiss curler from Zürich. He currently plays third for Ralph Stöckli. Hauser was a fairly successful junior curler. In his third World Junior Curling Championships, in 2003, he skipped Switzerland to a bronze medal finish. In 2007, he joined forces with Stöckli, as his third. At his first World Championship in 2007, the team finished fourth. He returned to the World Championships with Stöckli in 2009. The 2010 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held in Chelyabinsk, Russia from April 18–24, 2010. The event was held in conjunction with the 2010 World Senior Curling Championships. Irene Schori
Irene Schori (born 4 December 1983) is a Swiss curler from Bremgarten. She currently plays third on Team Michèle Jäggi. Career Schori was named to the Swiss Olympic Team in 2010. She served as the alternate for Mirjam Ott's team in Vancouver. They just missed winning a medal, finishing fourth. Schori has participated in both the 2008 and the 2009 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships with partner Toni Müller, and has taken gold at both of these championships. Schori and Müller were the heavy favorites to win in the 2010 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, but were eliminated by the China in an extra end in the quarterfinals. World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships
The World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships are annual curling tournaments featuring the world's best teams of mixed doubles curlers. History The tournament began in 2008 with the 2008 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. Switzerland's mixed doubles team of Irene Schori and Toni Müller dominated the 2008 and 2009 championships and appeared in the first three worlds. At the 2010 Worlds, Russia won its first ever world curling title by defeating New Zealand, also first-time curling medalists. Russia did not successfully defend its world title, however, as they were defeated in the final of the 2011 Worlds by Switzerland, who won its third championship in four years. Switzerland then defended its title the next year, earning its fourth gold medal with a win over Sweden. In 2013, Hungary won their first world curling title after defeating Sweden in the final.
