Tom Clegg (actor)
Tom Clegg (1927–1996) was an English actor, who had a number of small roles in film and television during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. He is known for appearing in a number of ''Carry On films'', especially ''Carry On Screaming!'', where he played the role of Oddbod. Born in Leeds, Clegg was a member of the Household Cavalry and a professional boxer before getting into films as a stuntman in films such as ''Ivanhoe'' (1952). His size and tough guy persona led to film roles, including ''The Flanagan Boy'' (1953), '' The Fake'' (1953), ''John of the Fair'' (1954), ''The Stateless Man'' (1955), '' The Extra Day'' (1956), ''Moby Dick'' (1956), ''The Hideout'' (1956), '' Saint Joan'' (1957), ''Battle of the V-1'' (1958), ''Mark of the Phoenix'' (1958), ''This Sporting Life'' (1963) and '' Thunderball'' (1965). Quatermass II
''Quatermass II'' is a British science fiction serial, originally broadcast by BBC Television in the autumn of 1955. It is the second in the ''Quatermass'' series by writer Nigel Kneale, and the oldest of those serials to survive in its entirety in the BBC archives. The serial sees Professor Bernard Quatermass of the British Experimental Rocket Group being asked to examine strange meteorite showers. His investigations lead to his uncovering a conspiracy involving alien infiltration at the highest levels of the British government. ''Carry On Cleo'' is a 1964 British historical comedy film, the tenth in the series of 31 ''Carry On'' films (1958–1992). Regulars Sid James, Kenneth Williams, Kenneth Connor, Charles Hawtrey, and Jim Dale are present and Connor made his last appearance until his return in '' Carry On Up the Jungle'' six years later. Joan Sims returned to the series for the first time since ''Carry On Regardless'' three years earlier. ''Carry On Regardless'' is a 1961 British comedy film, the fifth in the series of 31 ''Carry On'' films (1958–1992). The film revolves loosely around the activities of a job agency, 'Helping Hands', run by Sid James's character, Bert Handy. ''Till Death Us Do Part'' is a British television sitcom that aired on BBC1 from 1965 to 1975. It was based on the literary character Simon Templar created by Leslie Charteris in the 1920s and featured in many novels over the years. In the television series, Templar was played by Roger Moore. Templar helps those whom conventional agencies are powerless or unwilling to protect, often using methods that skirt the law.
