Tiny TV was a brand name used by Turner Broadcasting for a slate of international programming blocks that targeted preschool-age children. The block primarily aired on Cartoon Network in countries such as Australia, India, and Southeast Asia. Tiny TV also ran on Boomerang in Latin America (under the name ''Mini TV'') and Southeast Asia, as well as on Pogo TV in India. Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network (often abbreviated as CN) is an American cable television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. It is a part of The Cartoon Network, Inc., a division that also has the broadcasting and production activities of Boomerang, Cartoonito, Adult Swim, and Toonami under its purview. Founded by Ted Turner (who appointed Betty Cohen as the first president of the network), the channel was launched on October 1, 1992, and primarily broadcasts animated television series, mostly children's programming, ranging from action to animated comedy. It currently runs from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. ET/ PT on weekdays and 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. ET/PT on weekends. Gerald McBoing-Boing (TV Series)
''Gerald McBoing-Boing'' is a 2D animated children's television series based on the 1950 animated short film '' Gerald McBoing-Boing''. It premiered on Cartoon Network in the United States on August 22, 2005, as part of their then-'' Tickle-U'' programming block, and on Teletoon in English and French in Canada on August 29, 2005. The show would later be reran on Boomerang around 2007. It uses the same basic art style as the original, but with more detail. Each 11-minute episode features a series of vignettes with Gerald, of which the "fantasy tales" are done in Seussian rhyme. ''The Koala Brothers'' is a British stop-motion animated children's television show that features the adventures of 2 koala brothers named Frank and Buster, as they seek to help their friends in a sleepy town in the Australian outback. Seventy-nine episodes were produced over 3 seasons. A notable quality of the TV show is that although there can be differences of opinion and some instances of anti-social or unthoughtful behaviour, there are no villains or antagonistic characters. ''Engie Benjy'' is a British stop motion pre-school children's television show, broadcast on ITV's children's strand, CITV. Engie Benjy is a blue-haired mechanic who fixes problems with the help of his friends and an assortment of living magic and vehicles. He owns a dog named Jollop and drives a breakdown van named Dan the Van. Other characters include Driver Dottie, Astronaut Al and Farmer Fred. ''Boohbah'' is a British preschool television series created by Anne Wood and produced by Wood's company, Ragdoll Productions, in association with GMTV. It originally premiered on ITV on 14 April 2003. The series was later broadcast on Nick Jr.UK beginning on 2 April 2005. The series, with 104 episodes, was designed for preschoolers aged three to six (a slightly older age group than Wood's previous show, ''Teletubbies''). According to Anne Wood, the show's visuals were inspired by scientific photographs of microscopic life and cell structures. The main characters, the Boohbahs, are "atoms of energy" who sleep in charging pods. Every episode follows the Boohbahs performing a dance routine where the audience is encouraged to participate. ''Boo!'' is a British children's television series that was broadcast in the United Kingdom on the CBeebies channel, and originally on BBC Two. It features several cartoon characters who play a game similar to hide and seek in a variety of settings. The commentary is performed by an adult male and female narrators and a chorus of children. It was produced by the independent production company Tell-Tale Productions, which was also responsible for '' Tweenies''. From 2007 to 2012, reruns of the show were broadcast in the USA on Qubo. The series aired for a total of 104 episodes and one Christmas special was nominated for a BAFTA in 2002–03. ''The Backyardigans'' is a computer-animated musical children's television series created by Janice Burgess. The series was written and recorded at Nickelodeon Animation Studio. It centers on five animal neighbors who imagine themselves on fantastic adventures in their backyard.
