Tim Dixon (actor)
Tim Dixon (born 19 February 1984) is an English television presenter who rose to prominence in 2003. In 2005 he was described by Flextech as "The best young up-and-coming television presenting talent in the UK". Education Dixon was educated at Devonport High School for Boys, a grammar school in Plymouth, between 1995 and 2002. Early magical career Dixon was, upon joining in 1995, the youngest ever member of the Plymouth Magic Circle. He made numerous appearances in Plymouth performing close-up magic in bars, restaurants and at private functions. CITV
CITV (short for Children's ITV, also known as the CITV Channel) is a British free-to-air children's television channel owned by ITV plc. It broadcasts content from the CITV archive and acquisitions, every day from 6 am to 9 pm which was previously 6 am to 6 pm until 21 February 2016. Format ''Finger Tips'' is an arts and crafts series that centres around creating things with objects that can be found in your home. ''Play DJ'' was a text-in quiz show which aired weekdays from 6 pm and weekends from 10 am on the now defunct British ITV Play channel. The show replaced a similar programme called ''ITV Playalong'' which was aired as filler on ITV Play when no live presented programmes were being aired (and continued to do so late-nights until the channel's demise). Viewers could also send in messages to be displayed on-air in a chatbox. Games Buzz Words Nine letters were given and the viewer had to find as many words as they could with the letters; there was also one nine-letter word that could be made with the letters. If a player got the word first, they got double points for it. A "mini" version was often played on the relaunched ''Play DJ''. Izit? ITV Play was a short-lived 24/7 participation television channel in the United Kingdom owned by ITV plc. The ITV Play name continued as a strand on the main ITV Network until December 2007. It was launched as a standalone channel on Freeview (taking on the slot which was previously occupied by the Men & Motors channel) on 19 April 2006 and started broadcasting on the Sky platform on 24 July 2006. The ITV Play channel was created in response to and hoping to cash in on the popularity of late night quiz shows on the ITV Network and ITV2 such as '' Quizmania'' and ''The Mint''. ITV Play also offered additional gambling services on their website. It cost at least 75p per call to participate. This charge was made even if the caller was not put through to the studio. BBC Radio Devon is the BBC's local radio station serving the county of Devon. It broadcasts on FM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios in the Mannamead area of Plymouth. According to RAJAR, the station has a weekly audience of 142,000 listeners and a 7.1% share as of September 2022. History BBC Radio Devon started broadcasting on 17 January 1983, replacing the BBC Radio 4 regional breakfast show ''Morning Sou'West''.
