Tiger Theory
Tiger Theory ( cs, Teorie tygra) is a 2016 Czech adventure comedy film directed by Radek Bajgar. It is a debut title for Bajgar. It stars Jiří Bartoška and Eliška Balzerová. Plot The life of Veterinary physician, veterinarian Jan Berger is usurped by his wife Olga. Olga doesn't give him any free time and he is tired of it. The last drop comes when Olga's father voluntarily ends his life. Jan realizes that the life of his father in law was controlled the same way as Jan's is. Jan knows that he will end up the same way. Jan pretends that he suffers from Alzheimer's disease and is put in a Psychiatric hospital which is headed by his friend who gives him freedom. Only Jan's son Jakub and son in law Erik know the truth. Erik is married to Jan's daughter Olinka who is pushed by her mother and grandmother to control Erik's life the same way as Olga controls Jan's life. Tweants Dialect
Tweants (Tweants pronunciation: ; nl, Twents ) is a group of non-standardised, closely related Westphalian, Dutch Low Saxon dialects, descending from Old Saxon. It is spoken daily by approximately 62% of the population of Twente, a region in the eastern Dutch province of Overijssel bordering on Germany. Tweants is part of the larger Low Saxon dialect continuum, spreading from the Veluwe region in the middle of the Netherlands to the German-Polish border. As a consequence, it shares many characteristics with surrounding dialects, such as Sallaans and Achterhooks in the Netherlands, and Westmünsterländisch in Germany. All towns and villages in Twente have their own local, but mutually intelligible variety. Hermenegildus Felix Victor Maria "Herman" Finkers (; born December 9, 1954) is a Dutch comedian, who is well known in the Netherlands for his friendly, dry-witted humour and his ambiguous style of storytelling. ''The Marriage Escape'', in nl, De beentjes van Sint-Hildegard (''The Bones of Saint Hildegard'') is a 2020 Dutch film directed by Johan Nijenhuis. The film is an adaptation of the 2016 Czech film ''Tiger Theory'', and it is the first cinema film predominantly spoken in the Tweants variety of Low Saxon, although the title is in Dutch. The film won the Golden Film award after having sold 100,000 tickets and the film also won the Platinum Film award after having sold 400,000 tickets. In total, more than 710,000 tickets were sold and the film became the best visited Dutch film and highest-grossing Dutch film of 2020. It was also the third best visited film in the Netherlands in 2020, with '' 1917'' and ''Tenet'' in first and second place respectively. Iva Janžurová (born 19 May 1941) is a Czech actress. She attended school in České Budějovice and in 1963, she graduated from the Faculty of Theatre at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In 1964, she became the main member of Vinohrady Theatre and since 1988 has been a member of the National Theatre in Prague.
