Tiger Mum
''Tiger Mum'' ( Chinese: 虎妈来了) is a Singaporean family drama produced and telecast on MediaCorp Channel 8. The drama began production in November 2014. The series ran from 9 April to 6 May 2015. The show aired at 9pm on weekdays and had a repeat telecast at 8am the following day. It had a repeat in 2018 telecast at 4.30pm to 6.30pm on weekends after succeeding ''Crescendo'' and Tiger Mum series repeated at 12pm on Tuesday to Saturday on 22 March 2022. This is the second drama appearance of veteran actress Huang Biren since her return to the entertainment industry after a seven-year hiatus. Huang plays the title character in the show. a controlling and demanding tiger mother character. The series is sponsored by the Media Development Authority of Singapore. Huang Biren
Huang Biren (born 7 March 1969) is a Singaporean actress best known for appearing in numerous MediaCorp Channel 8 television dramas. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1988 to 2008, but continues to film on an ad-hoc basis. Huang left Mediacorp on 30 June 2008, due to the new contract terms offered to her and she also wanted to spend more time with her family, especially her 5-month-old infant girl. Career Huang joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now MediaCorp) in 1988 after completing its Professional Drama Performers' Training course. She was due to study at Hawaii Pacific University in the United States but chose to go into acting when SBC offered her a contract, much to the initial disappointment of her parents. Jeffrey Xu (born 3 October 1988) is a Chinese actor based in Singapore and was named as one of the 8 Dukes of Caldecott Hill. Death Of Lee Kuan Yew
On 23 March 2015, Lee Kuan Yew, the founding prime minister of Singapore and co-founder of the People's Action Party, died at the age of 91 at 03:18 Singapore Standard Time ( UTC+08:00), after having been hospitalised at the Singapore General Hospital with severe pneumonia since 5 February that year. A formal announcement was made on national television and radio by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at 08:00 that morning. Many world leaders, governments, international organizations, and individuals issued public condolences. A week-long period of national mourning was declared by the government, from 23 to 29 March that year. All flags, including the National Flag, in Singapore were flown at half-mast during the period. A Child's Hope (Simplified Chinese: 孩有明天) is a MediaCorp TV Channel 8 Chinese drama which stars Tay Ping Hui, Phyllis Quek and Huang Biren. Jerry Yeo
Jerry Yeo (, born 29 June 1986) is a Singaporean actor. He was a versatile full-time Mediacorp artiste, actor and TV host from 2007 to 2014. Career Yeo joined Star Search 2007 whilst a freshman at Nanyang Technological University and was first runner-up.
