Three Tough Guys
''Three Tough Guys'' (also known as ''Tough Guys'') is a 1974 crime-action film directed by Duccio Tessari. It may be regarded as an example of the Blaxploitation genre. It stars Lino Ventura, Fred Williamson and Isaac Hayes, who also composed the soundtrack. It is a coproduction between United States, Italy (where it was released ''Uomini duri'') and France (where is known as ''Les Durs''). The film was shot in Chicago. Plot Roman Catholic priest Father Charlie and former police officer Lee solve a bank robbery mystery that stretches across the city. After Lee is removed from the force due to $1,000,000 being stolen from the bank, Father Charlie helps him to gain revenge for the loss of one of his friends. Duccio Tessari
Duccio Tessari (11 October 1926 – 6 September 1994) was an Italian director, screenwriter and actor, considered one of the fathers of Spaghetti Westerns. Born in Genoa, Tessari started in the fifties as documentarist and as screenwriter of peplum films. In 1964 he co-wrote Sergio Leone's ''A Fistful of Dollars'', one year later he gained an impressive commercial success and launched the Giuliano Gemma's career with ''A Pistol for Ringo'' and its immediate sequel, ''The Return of Ringo''. He later touched different genres and worked in RAI TV, directing some successful TV-series. He died of cancer in Rome, at 67. ''Street Law'' ( it, Il cittadino si ribella, lit. "The Citizen Rebels") is a 1974 ''poliziotteschi'' film. It stars Franco Nero, Barbara Bach and was directed by Enzo G. Castellari. Plot Carlo Antonelli ( Franco Nero) is an engineer from Genoa who is mugged. After the police drop their investigation, he decides to take justice into his own hands. The muggers beat him again, but a young robber helps him to take his revenge. The lira (; plural lire) was the currency of Italy between 1861 and 2002. Nazzareno Zamperla (25 April 1937 – 19 March 2020) was an Italian actor and stuntman. Career Born in Treviso into a circus family, Zamperla came to Rome in 1949 and worked primarily in the 1950s and 1960s as a stunt performer. His focus was on the sword and sandal films. In the 1960s and 1970s, he transitioned into appearances as an actor in front of the camera, and his focus shifted to Spaghetti Western productions, where he was also known under the name of Nick Anderson, while also continuing working behind the camera as a gun master. Jesse Beryle Hahn (October 29, 1921June 29, 1998) was an American-French character actor who mostly starred in French films. Biography After serving with the Marines in the Second World War, he moved to France in 1949 and took French citizenship. Firstly a musician, he became an actor and starred in film noirs and westerns. A large man, Hahn often appeared in " strong man" roles, such as in ''Cartouche'' and '' Topkapi''.
