The ''Dark Nest'' trilogy is a trilogy of science-fiction novels set in the ''Star Wars'' Star Wars galaxy, galaxy 35–36 years after the Battle of Yavin depicted in the Star Wars (film), original ''Star Wars'' film. The series serves as a follow up to the events of the The New Jedi Order, ''New Jedi Order'' series of novels, and a precursor to the ''Legacy of the Force'' and ''Fate of the Jedi'' series of novels. The trilogy was written by Troy Denning. The first installment was released in July 2005 and the final installment was released in December of that same year. Troy Denning
Troy Denning is an American fantasy and science fiction author and game designer who has written more than two dozen novels. Background Denning grew up in the mountain town of Idaho Springs, Colorado. An avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, he began writing himself at the age of fourteen in 80-page spiral-bound notebooks, and began to collect the usual quantity of rejection slips. Around his eighteenth birthday, he received a rejection slip from editor Ben Bova, but one with a signature and a handwritten note thanking him for the submission. Heartened, Denning continued to write as he attended Beloit College, where he also played on their Division III football team. Career Denning joined TSR as a game designer in 1981, and was promoted a year later to Manager of Designers, before he moved to the book department. Young Jedi Knights
''Young Jedi Knights'' is a '' Star Wars'' young adult fiction series by science fiction writer Kevin J. Anderson and his wife Rebecca Moesta. It was published from 1995 to 1998. It covers the Jedi training of Jacen and Jaina Solo, the twin children of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo. The series begins 23 years ABY (After the Battle of Yavin), when the twins are fourteen years old. Originally intended to cover six novels, the series eventually stretched to fourteen volumes.
