The Space Brothers
The Space Brothers are a British trance music duo comprising Richard 'Ricky' Louis Simmonds and Stephen Christopher Jones, noted for producing under a variety of pseudonyms such as Chakra, Lustral, Ascension, Essence, Ultra High, Lamai and The Realm. Career Their debut production "Stay with Me" (released as Ultra High) garnered club interest and reached number 36 on the UK Singles Chart in December 1995. Whereas "Stay with Me" epitomised the hardbag sound, their next release "I Am" (as Chakra) was to showcase a darker, ethereal and more progressive trance based sound. "I Am" caught the ears of Sasha and John Digweed (the latter of whom submitted a remix of the track alongside Nick Muir in their Bedrock guise). Trance Music
Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged from the British new-age music scene and the early 1990s German techno and hardcore scenes. Trance music is characterized by a tempo generally lying between 135–150 beats per minute (BPM), repeating melodic phrases and a musical form that distinctly builds tension and elements throughout a track often culminating in 1 to 2 "peaks" or "drops". Perfecto Records is a British trance record label, founded by Paul Oakenfold in 1989. Perfecto was also a remix team consisting of Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne and in its later years, Osborne was replaced by Andy Gray. Perfecto Records have provided remixes for U2, Moby, New Order, Rolling Stones, Simply Red and more. History Perfecto was founded by electronic music record producer and DJ Paul Oakenfold in 1989. At the time, house music and the balearic style was beginning to break into the mainstream and Oakenfold was working as an A&R man for Champion Records. The label was distributed through Warner Music through the 1990s, until Paul Oakenfold moved distribution to Mushroom UK in 1998. A disc jockey, more commonly abbreviated as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. Turn It Around (Alena Song)
"Turn It Around" is a song written by Dutch DJ and producer Carlo Resoort and featuring singer Alena Lova. Originally distributed on white label in 1998, the single was given a commercial release in 1999 with a new remix by the UK trance music act the Space Brothers (Ricky Simmonds and Stephen Jones). The Space Brothers remix features additional lyrics credited to Simmonds and Jones. "Turn It Around" was a success in UK and European clubs. Over the course of October 1999, it reached its peak in three '' Music Week'' dance charts: number one in the Cool Cuts Chart, number two in the Club Chart Top 40 and number six in the Pop Top 20. The song then peaked at number 14 in the UK Singles Chart in November 1999, selling nearly 25,000 copies in its first week. Matthew Jonathan Darey (born 29 November 1968) is an English trance music producer and performer. Darey has sold over two million albums and singles with numerous top 10 and top 20 chart hits. Music career Darey was born in Leicester, England. Some of his earliest solo work was under the name Lost Tribe, releasing the EP ''The Distant Voices'' in 1997. Kate Cameron
Kate Cameron is an English house and trance music singer with a rich alto voice. She signed with MCA in the dance/pop group GMT in 1991, releasing "Feel So Good" and "Inner City Blues" before they were dropped in 1993.
