''The One That You Love'' is the sixth album by Australian soft rock band Air Supply, released in 1981. The album became their most famous and successful in their career. It reached No. 10 in Australia and the United States. Overview The album was released after their major success with their previous album, '' Lost in Love'', and multiplied the band's popularity through the first period of the 1980s. Production was carried out by Harry Maslin, while the project featured Clive Davis as executive producer. The single, "The One That You Love", became the band's first and only No. 1 hit. "Here I Am (Just When I Thought I Was Over You)" reached No. 5 in the US charts, being closely related to the style of Barry Manilow, one of the band's influences. Air Supply is a soft rock duo formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1975. It consists of Englishman Graham Russell (vocals, guitar) and Australian Russell Hitchcock (vocals). Richard Supa
Richard "Richie" Supa (born Richard Goodman) is an American songwriter and guitarist best known for his work with Aerosmith, The Rascals and Richie Sambora. Supa released several albums under his own name, including ''Supa's Jamboree'' (1971, Paramount 6009), ''Homespun'' (1972, Paramount PAS 6027), ''Lifelines'' (1976, Epic PE34277) and ''Tall Tales'' (1978, Polydor PD-1-6155). Richard's song "Stone County Wanted Man", which appeared on the ''Supa's Jamboree'' album, was recorded by Johnny Winter for his '' Saints & Sinners'' album. A longtime friend of Aerosmith, he has made a number of musical contributions to the band and has offered moral support. Imgur ( , stylized as imgur) is an American online image sharing and image hosting service with a focus on social gossip that was founded by Alan Schaaf in 2009. The Kent Music Report was a weekly record chart of Australian music singles and albums which was compiled by music enthusiast David Kent (historian), David Kent from May 1974 through to January 1999. The chart was re-branded the Australian Music Report (AMR) in July 1987. From June 1988, the Australian Recording Industry Association, which had been using the top 50 portion of the report under licence since mid-1983, chose to produce their own listing as the ARIA Charts. Goh Tee Haut, known professionally as Rex Goh, (born 5 May 1951) is a Singaporean-born Australian rock guitarist. In 1972 Goh moved to Australia. He has been a band member of various groups including Air Supply (1977, 1981–83), QED (1983–85), and Eurogliders (1988–89, 2005). Russell Charles Hitchcock (born 15 June 1949) is an Australian musician and lead vocalist of the soft rock duo Air Supply. Early life Born in Melbourne, Hitchcock attended South Brunswick State School, and later studied at Princes Hill High School in Carlton North. In 1965, he left school to work as a salesman.
