The Nitro Girls
The Nitro Girls were a dance team in World Championship Wrestling. Their initial function was to dance and entertain the live crowds during commercial breaks. History The Nitro Girls were formed in 1997 by Kimberly Page at Eric Bischoff's request and made their debut on July 14 in Orlando, Florida. Their main focus was to entertain the live fans during the commercials of '' Monday Nitro''. They also regularly performed in short segments on the show. The Nitro Girls filmed their own pay-per-view, dubbed "The Nitro Girls Swimsuit Calendar Special" which aired on August 3, 1999 and was later released on home video. In late 1999, the group held a competition to find a new member. 300 women took part in the contest; the results were decided by a series of polls on WCW's website, which narrowed down the field to eight finalists. Jacksonville State University (JSU) is a public university in Jacksonville, Alabama. ''30 Seconds to Fame'' is an American television series that was shown on the Fox Network from July 17, 2002 to June 26, 2003, featuring a talent show where acts could only last up to 30 seconds each, regardless of any resolution to the act. The series was hosted by Craig Jackson. Many different talents were exhibited, such as contortionism, juggling, magic tricks, stand-up comedy, and beatboxing, in addition to singing and dancing acts. Much of the charm of the show was derived from the fact that each act lasted only 30 seconds, leading to a variety of different acts being displayed. The live audience acted as the judges. Teri Byrne (born April 11, 1972) is a former member of WCW's Nitro Girls and is a former fitness competitor. Career Byrne entered herself in numerous fitness competitions, including the Ujena calendar swimwear contest and Miss Fiesta Bowl for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Then, she met Kimberly Page and she joined WCW's original Nitro Girls as Fyre on July 14, 1997, and stayed with them until 1999. She then opened a website as a model but shut it down after a couple of years. She appeared in a non-nude Nitro Girls pictorial in the September 1998 issue of '' Penthouse'', along with Melissa Bellin, Chae An, and Kimberly Page. After the demise of the Nitro Girls in 2000, she was a member of the pop music group ''Diversity 5'' with some other former Nitro Girls.
