The Americans (band)
The Americans are a roots rock band from Los Angeles, California. History The Americans formed in 2010. They have appeared on '' The Late Show'' (CBS) and on the TV series ''American Epic'' (PBS/BBC). Their music was featured in the films '' Texas Killing Fields, A Country Called Home'', and ''Little Glory'', and the TV series '' No Tomorrow'' ( CW)''.'' In 2015 they backed up Nick Cave, Lucinda Williams, and Courtney Love at the 60th anniversary celebration of Allen Ginsberg's Howl. The band's debut album, I'll Be Yours'' released July 7, 2017 on Loose Music, debuted at #15 on the UK Americana Top 40 and #19 on the Indie Breaker's chart. Roots rock is a genre of rock music that looks back to rock's origins in folk, blues and country music. Lucinda Gayle Williams (born January 26, 1953) is an American singer-songwriter and a solo guitarist. She recorded her first two albums: '' Ramblin' on My Mind'' (1979) and '' Happy Woman Blues'' (1980), in a traditional country and blues style that received critical praise but little public or radio attention. In 1988, she released her third album, ''Lucinda Williams'', to widespread critical acclaim. Piracy is an act of robbery or criminal violence by ship or boat-borne attackers upon another ship or a coastal area, typically with the goal of stealing cargo and other valuable goods. Those who conduct acts of piracy are called pirates, vessels used for piracy are pirate ships.
