Thamizhachi Thangapandian also known as Sumathy is an Indian Tamil poet, lyricist, orator, politician and writer. She was elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India, from Chennai South (Lok Sabha constituency), Chennai South constituency in the 2019 Indian general election as a member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
