Tevragh-Zeina is a suburb of Nouakchott and Communes of Mauritania, urban commune in western Mauritania. It is the capital of Nouakchott-Ouest Region and has a population of 48,093. The current mayor is Fatimetou Abdel Maleck, Oumama Abdou. The El Irvan library is located in Tevragh-Zeina. Petroleum plays a role in the economy. It is home to the ASC Tevragh-Zeïna Association football, football club and the College Tevragh Zeina. ASC Tevragh-Zeïna
Football Club Tevragh-Zeïna ( ar, نادي تفرغ زينة لكرة القدم) is a Mauritania, Mauritanian football (soccer), football club based in the Tevragh-Zeina district of Nouakchott. The club was founded in 2005. History In 2009, ASC Tevragh-Zeïna reached the final of the Coupe du Président de la République but lost to ASAC Concorde 5–4 on penalties after the game ended 0–0. In 2010, they won the competition, beating FC Feu Mini 3–0 in the final. By winning the Cup, they qualified for the 2011 CAF Confederation Cup. On February 28, 2011, Tevragh-Zeïna became the first club from Mauritania since 1994 to advance in continental competition after beating AS Real Bamako of Mali 1–0 on aggregate in the preliminary round of the 2011 CAF Confederation Cup. Nouakchott-Ouest ( ar, نواكشوط الغربية) is a region in Mauritania. It comprises the three northeastern departments of Mauritania's capital city Nouakchott: Ksar, Sebkha and Tevragh-Zeina. Its headquarters are at Tevragh-Zeina and the Presidential Palace is located within its borders. Nouakchott-Ouest was created on 25 November 2014 when the region of Nouakchott was split into three new regions. Petroleum, also known as crude oil, or simply oil, is a naturally occurring yellowish-black liquid mixture of mainly hydrocarbons, and is found in geological formations.
