Tele 5
Tele 5 is a German free-to-air television channel that broadcasts classic American films, series, cartoons and Japanese anime. On 3 July 2020, Discovery, Inc. agreed to acquire the channel from Leonine Holding, completing the purchase on 1 September 2020. It then became part of the Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery International on April 8, 2021, when Discovery, Inc. merged with WarnerMedia. Now under the latter's management, it would be merged into Warner Bros. Discovery's existing cable unit with corresponding job losses due to redundancies. History Tele 5 replaced Germany's second music television channel, '' Musicbox'', which existed from 1984 to 1988. Prior to 1987, Silvio Berlusconi bought part of ''Musicbox'' and rebranded it as Tele5 on 11 January 1988. Its programming was produced in the same building as '' Musicbox'', a music video show named ''Musicbox'' remained part of Tele5's regular schedule, and several ''Musicbox'' show ...

1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. A related display resolution is 1080p, which also has 1080 lines of resolution; the "p" refers to progressive scan, which indicates that the lines of resolution for each frame are "drawn" on the screen in sequence. The term assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9 (a rectangular TV that is wider than it is tall), so the 1080 lines of vertical resolution implies 1920 columns of horizontal resolution, or 1920 pixels × 1080 lines. A 1920 pixels × 1080 lines screen has a total of ...

The Adventures Of Teddy Ruxpin
''The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin'' is a children's animated television series based on Teddy Ruxpin, an animatronic teddy bear created by Ken Forsse and distributed by toy manufacturer Worlds of Wonder. Produced in 1986–7 for television syndication by DIC Enterprises with Atkinson Film-Arts, the series employed many of the same voice actors used in the book-and-tape series that was made for the eponymous animatronic toy. While some of the stories used in the TV series were adapted from the books, many were original and greatly expanded upon the world established there. The series differed from traditional children's animation in that most of its 65 episodes were serialized rather than in traditional episodic form. In the United States, the series was originally syndicated by LBS Communications. Today, all international distribution rights to the series were previously held by Don Taffner's DLT Entertainment. The series is currently owned by The Jim Henson Company under its ...

Ghostbusters (1986 TV Series)
''Ghostbusters'' (later called ''Filmation's Ghostbusters'') is a 1986 American animated television series created by Filmation and distributed by Tribune Entertainment, serving as the sequel to Filmation's 1975 live-action television show '' The Ghost Busters''. It is not to be confused with Columbia Pictures' 1984 film ''Ghostbusters'' or that film's subsequent animated television show '' The Real Ghostbusters'', which premiered five days later. When making their film, Columbia Pictures needed to obtain rights to use the name from Filmation. The success of Columbia's (unrelated) film spurred Filmation to resurrect their own property, producing an animated series based on the characters from the earlier TV show. This animated series ran from September 8 to December 5, 1986 in daytime syndication, and produced 65 episodes. The series is technically called simply ''Ghostbusters'', but home video releases used the name ''Filmation's Ghostbusters'' to avoid confusion. In the U.S ...
