Teemu Rannikko
Teemu Rannikko (born September 9, 1980) is a Finnish professional basketball player. He is 1.89 m (6' 2 ") tall, and he weighs 88 kg (195 lbs.). He mainly plays at the point guard position. At his peak, he was known as a good scorer and a steady defender. Professional career Born in Turku, Finland, Rannikko made his breakthrough when he transferred to Scavoloni Pesaro, in 2004–05, and he made his EuroLeague debut that season. He had his most successful seasons over the next two years in Union Olimpija, where he was one of the key players for the team that played in the EuroLeague. In 2007–08, he moved to BC Khimki, where he played his first season as a sixth man successfully, but in the second season, an injury stopped Rannikko from breaking through, and he moved again after two years in Khimki. BC Khimki (russian: БК Химки) is a Russian professional basketball team that is based in Khimki, Moscow Oblast. The club's senior men's first team participates in the Russian Basketball Super League 1. The club's full official name is BC Khimki Moscow Region. Khimki has a Moscow-based rivalry with the Russian club CSKA Moscow. Košarkarski klub Olimpija ( en, Olimpija Basketball Club) was a men's professional basketball club based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. 2016–17 Korisliiga Season
The 2016–17 Korisliiga season is the 77th season of the top professional basketball league in Finland. The season started on October 5, 2016, and ended on May 13, 2017. Kataja Basket won its second national title after beating Salon Vilpas in the Finals. Teams Bisons Loimaa left the league after the 2015–16 season, because of its financial problems. Korihait was promoted from the second tier First Division after winning the championship there.
