Taylor Leier
Taylor Leier (born February 15, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He was drafted in the fourth round, 117th overall, at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. Playing career Leier began his major junior hockey career in the Western Hockey League with the Portland Winterhawks who drafted him 24th overall in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft. While playing with the Winterhawks, Leier was drafted 117th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Leier signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Flyers on September 9, 2013. He made his NHL debut against the Carolina Hurricanes on November 14, 2015. During the 2016–17 season, Leier scored his first NHL goal with the Flyers on December 17, 2016, against the Dallas Stars. Straubing Tigers
The Straubing Tigers are a professional men's ice hockey team, based in Straubing, Germany, that competes in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Straubing plays its home games at the Eisstadion am Pulverturm, which has a capacity of 5,800 spectators. Promoted to the DEL in 2006, and operating with one of the league's smallest budgets, the team could finish no better than twelfth before the 2011–12 DEL season, when it reached the semi-finals of the playoffs. Brandon Manning (born June 4, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Manning previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, and the Edmonton Oilers. Jason Akeson (born June 3, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey Winger (ice hockey), right winger for Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He played 15 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Philadelphia Flyers between 2013 and 2015. Playing career As a youth, Akeson played in the 2003 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Cumberland, Ontario. Rochester Americans
The Rochester Americans (colloquially known as the Amerks) are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League; the team is an owned and operated affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres. The team plays its home games in Rochester, New York, at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial.
