Tashan, Bahrain
Tashan (Arabic:طشان) is a village located in the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the western outskirts of the capital city Manama. It is a village adjacent to Bilad Al Qadeem but significantly smaller. History Tashan is situated 'constituency one' in the Northern Governorate administrative region. The constituency is also the largest constituency in the country, with more than 17,000 voters. In the 2010 Bahraini parliamentary elections, the constituency's seat in parliament was won by Matar Matar from Al Wefaq National Islamic Society, after obtaining a landslide victory of 85.7%. The seat was vacated after Matar resigned as part of an en-masse resignation by 18 Al Wefaq MPs during the Arab Spring uprising in February 2011, in protest of an earlier crackdown on protesters. Seyfi Taşhan is a Turkish political analyst, thought leader, and historian. He is the founder and the Director of Foreign Policy Institute, Turkey's first political think-tank. On April 9, 2015, speaking at an honorary ceremony in honor of Tashan, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu referred to Tashan as "a guru in Turkish diplomacy, serving more than 40 years as the president of the Foreign Policy Institute and being a guiding light to the ministry as well." The Battle of Tashan () was a battle during the Chinese Civil War fought in the western part of Northeast China, between forces of the Kuomintang National Revolutionary Army (NRA) and the communist People's Liberation Army (PLA), and resulted in a PLA victory. The battle was critical in determining the outcome of the Battle of Jinzhou and, consequently, that of the entire Liaoshen Campaign. The battle is more commonly known as the blocking battle at Tashan (), and is widely regarded by the communists as the first of the three most crucial blocking operations (along with the Battle of Heishan a week later and the Battle of Xudong from the Huaihai Campaign) during the Chinese Civil War. Taşhan, Mut
Taşhan is a historical caravanserai in Mersin Province, Turkey. It is situated in Mut ilçe (district) of Mersin Province to the south of Mut Castle at . The caravanserai was constructed in 1723-1725 by an Ottoman mutasarrıf (governor) named Hacı Sunullah Pasha. It is a rectangular-plan caravanserai. After the period of caravans the caravanserai was used as a local bazaar. But for the last 30 years, it was out of commission. In 2020 Mersin Metropolitan Municipality and Arslan family (the owner of building) decided to open the bazaar as a ''Producer Women’s market''. The opening ceremony was held on 26 September 2020. Mersin metropolitan mayor Vahap Seçer as well as Mut mayor Volkan Şeker and the owner of the building were present in the ceremony. The honoured quest was folk musician Musa Eroğlu. Jiawang District () is a suburban district of Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, China. It is located in the northern part of Xuzhou and adjacent to the prefecture-level city of Zaozhuang, Shandong in the north.
