The Malay world or Malay realm ( Indonesian/ Malay: or ; Jawi: ), is a concept or an expression that has been used by different authors and groups over time to denote several different notions, derived from varied interpretations of Malayness, either as a racial category, as a linguistic group or as a cultural group. Tanjung, Tabalong
Tanjung, or also commonly known as Tanjung Tabalong, is a town and district, which orms the administrative centre of Tabalong Regency in the Indonesian province of South Kalimantan. Etymology and names The origin of the Tanjung name was originated from some local stories told by generations since the 1940s. The name came from the jungle explorers who used to search for some open areas for farming until their feet were hurt by stepping on Tataba thorns. Tanjung, Lombok
Tanjung is a town and district on the island of Lombok. It is the local capital of the North Lombok Regency in the Indonesian province West Nusa Tenggara. "Tanjung" means "cape" in Indonesian. Tanjung is known for its market and its temples. There is a new Buddhist temple (''Sutta Dhamma Lenek'') near Tanjung. Another Buddhist Temple, ''Vihara Dhamma'', can be visited in the centre of Tanjung. About 800 Buddhists live in and around Tanjung. ''Pura Medana'' is a significant Hindu temple to the west of Tanjung on the small Sira peninsula. Every Sunday a special cattle market is held in Tanjung.
