is an anime television series which aired on Tokyo Channel 12 from March 21, 1979 to March 5, 1980. Produced by Toei Animation, with animation co-produced by Nippon Sunrise, consisting of 47 episodes. Plot In 1995, Earth has been conquered by the Zaar Empire from the planet Akron in the star system of Zaar. All Earth's cities have been destroyed, and its survivors live in shanty towns and villages. Kento, a war orphan, and his companions hide in a cave to escape bandits. In the cave they find the secret base of Doctor Earl from the planet Helios, another planet conquered by the Zaar. Doctor Earl had fled to Earth with him the greatest achievement of Helian technology: the super-robot Atlas, whose power increases in combination with the intelligent lion robot Beralios. was a scholar, poet, and politician of the Heian Period of Japan. He is regarded as an excellent poet, particularly in Kanshi poetry, and is today revered in Shinto as the god of learning, . Urusei Yatsura
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It was serialized in Shogakukan's ''Weekly Shōnen Sunday'' from September 1978 to February 1987. Its 366 individual chapters were published in 34 '' tankōbon'' volumes. It tells the story of Ataru Moroboshi, and the alien Lum, who believes she is Ataru's wife after he accidentally proposes to her. The series makes heavy use of Japanese mythology, culture and puns. It was adapted into an anime television series produced by Kitty Films and broadcast on Fuji Television affiliates from October 1981, to March 1986, with 194 half-hour episodes. , sometimes referred to as , is a color remake of the 1960s anime black-and-white series of the same name(s); both series are adapted from the manga series by Osamu Tezuka. This series places more focus on Astro's robotic abilities and has a darker tone than previous incarnations of the series. Although this series places much more emphasis on action scenes than the first one, the theme of "robots with hearts" is still prevalent in this anime. It is also the last ''Astro Boy'' work that Tezuka himself wrote and directed, and the humor of the story and direction that is typical of Tezuka can be seen throughout. is a 1980 Japanese super robot mecha anime series. A film with the same title was released on December 19, 1981. Production The anime television series was produced by Ashi Productions and Kokusai Eiga-sha with a feature film (with a strong environmental theme) distributed by Toei in 1981. While 39 episodes were intended, only 34 were ultimately finished, with 31 airing on TV. Some, but not all of the events that would have been in the final 5 episodes were compressed into the film. The name of the Baldios mecha was unchanged, although it played a small part in the film. In Italy, the series and film were shown as ''Baldios, Il Guerriero dello Spazio''.
