Tamaz Vashakidze (April 14, 1961, in Tbilisi) is an artist (People's Artist of Georgia), premier dancer of the State Georgian Ballet, choreographer, holder of the Order of Honor of Georgia (2001), founder and awardee of the Chabukiani-Balanchine International Festival of Ballet Art, founder of the New Georgian Ballet Theatre of Modern Dance, holder of Special Award of Balanchine's Family, and founder of the Foundation "Chabukiani-Balanchine". Biography Tamaz Vashakidze was born in 1961 in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 1972, he entered Tbilisi Ballet Art State School. His teachers were Vivi Metreveli and Vakhtang Chabukiani. Having graduated from the School in 1979, he was employed as the leading soloist of the company Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Tamaz Pertia (born 23 December 1974) is a former Georgian football midfielder, currently a manager with FK Liepāja in the Latvian Higher League. Playing career During his playing career, Pertia has played for Lokomotiv Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League and many clubs from Georgia, Moldova and Latvia. Coaching career In 2008 Pertia became the manager of Dinaburg Daugavpils – his previous club. On 2 June 2010 he became the manager of Daugava Daugavpils. Pertia left the club in July 2011 after the change of club's chairman and was succeeded by Leonid Nazarenko. In August 2011 he accepted an offer to become the manager of JFK Olimps. Skonto FC was a Latvian football club, active from 1991 until 2016. The club played at the Skonto Stadium in Riga. Skonto won the Virsliga in the first 14 seasons of the league's resumption (15 in total), and often provided the core of the Latvia national football team. With those 14 national championships in a row, they set a European record, men and women's football combined, until the women of Faroese club KÍ Klaksvík won their 14th championship in a row in 2013. Following financial problems, the club was demoted to the Latvian First League in 2016 and went bankrupt in December of that year. Tamaz Chiladze ( ka, თამაზ ჭილაძე; 5 March 1931 – 28 September 2018) was a Georgian writer, dramatist and poet. He was the elder brother of Georgian writer Otar Chiladze. Biography Chiladze was born to the family of an economist and a writer in 1931 in Signagi, Georgia. He graduated from the Department of Philology of Tbilisi State University in 1954. In the same year, Chiladze published his first collection of poems. ''Ciskari'' magazine printed his first story, ''Taking the Walk with the Pony Phaeton''. In 1965, his play ''The Aquarium'' was staged at the Rustaveli Theater. He had since been recognized as the author of the anthology of Georgian classical dramaturgy. Tamaz Gelashvili ( ka, თამაზ გელაშვილი; born 8 April 1978) is a chess grandmaster from Georgia. He was awarded the Grandmaster title in 1999. His highest FIDE rating has been 2623, achieved in October 2007. His national ranking is fourth and he has played for his country at several Olympiads. In 2001 he tied for 1st with Yannick Pelletier, Mark Hebden and Vladimir Tukmakov in the 9th Neuchâtel Open and in 2006 won the Acropolis International tournament in Athens. Tamaz Nadareishvili ( ka, თამაზ ნადარეიშვილი) (19 July 1954 – 31 August 2004) was a Georgian politician who served as head of the Council of Ministers of Abkhazia, a government-in-exile for the breakaway province. Nadareishvili was a great grandson of the famous Abkhaz prince Shervashidze. Born and raised in Sukhumi, Nadareishvili attended Sukhumi University, graduated in the early 1980s, and settled down to life as an academic writer. During the break-up of the Soviet Union, Nadareishvili became involved in Georgian National Liberation movement. After the war in Abkhazia, Nadareishvili was elected by fellow Georgian refugees as the head of an exile government. In the 1990s he served at times in the Georgian parliament, continuing to draw support from refugees, to whom he helped distribute government aid.
