The European Union Centre in Taiwan (EUTW; ) is a university alliance in Taiwan, funded by European Commission, founded by National Taiwan University (NTU). Its headquarter is also located in NTU. The Excellent Long-Established University Consortium of Taiwan (ELECT or U12 Consortium, ), formerly named as ''U9 Consortium'', a university alliance in Taiwan. Its members are nine private universities located in New Taipei City and Taipei City and extended with three universities in Central Taiwan, with 12 universities in total, by cooperation including offering joint academic courses. Students of Member Universities can cross-register up to two classes per academic session. The National University System of Taiwan (NUST; ) is a Taiwanese University alliance led by the National Chung Hsing University in Central Taiwan. NUST was approved by MOE on April and formally established on 8 November, 2021. Members History Year founded Academics Admissions In response to the sub-replacement fertility and derived admissions problem, national universities which located in Central Taiwan proposed the establishment of "National University System of Taiwan" (NUST), in order to integrate academic resources, achieving higher competitiveness for each school. The NUST plans joint enrollment in future, like University System of Taiwan (UST) and Taiwan Comprehensive University System (TCUS), meanwhile allowed students inter-collegiate course taking, only if registration on one of the member school. The ''Times Higher Education World University Rankings'' (often referred to as the THE Rankings) is an annual publication of university rankings by the ''Times Higher Education'' (THE) magazine. The publisher had collaborated with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) to publish the joint '' THE-QS World University Rankings'' from 2004 to 2009 before it turned to Thomson Reuters for a new ranking system from 2010 to 2013. In 2014, the magazine then signed a deal with Elsevier to provide it with the data used to compile the rankings.
