''TM'' is the eighth and final studio album by American boy band Brockhampton. It was released on November 18, 2022, one day after the release of the group's previous studio album '' The Family'', through RCA and Question Everything. For its entire rollout, ''The Family'' was advertised as the band's final album. A surprise release, ''TM'' was announced for release alongside a promo image for ''The Family'', and was billed by the band as a "parting gift for fans". During a show after release TM was revealed to be the initials for The Mountain. Background ''The Family'' had been advertised as the final studio album from Brockhampton. Despite this, in a promo image posted to social media alongside the release of ''The Family,'' the band announced surprise album ''TM'' in small text towards the bottom of the image, reading "Surprise album (TM) midnight local." Brockhampton (band)
Brockhampton (stylized in all caps) was an American hip hop collective founded in 2010 as AliveSinceForever in San Marcos, Texas. Led by Kevin Abstract and formed partially through online music discussion forum KanyeToThe, Brockhampton was a self-described "boy band", so-called in an effort to redefine the term. '' Complex'' magazine describes the group as "gay, black, white, DIY, ambitious, all-inclusive, and would-be pop stars," and this diversity is what largely distinguishes their lyrics and sound. Homer Steinweiss
Homer Steinweiss is an American drummer, songwriter, and producer known as a prominent drummer in the New York soul revival scene. He is a founding member and drummer of groups including Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Lee Fields & The Expressions, El Michels Affair, and Dan Auerbach's The Arcs, among many others. He leads the Brooklyn folk soul band Holy Hive with Paul Spring. A popular session musician as part of The Dap-Kings and in his own right, he is perhaps best known for his work with Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse, with whom he recorded the 2006 album ''Back to Black''. Diane Luckey (December 12, 1960 – July 19, 2022), known professionally as Q Lazzarus, was an American singer. She is best known for her 1988 song " Goodbye Horses", which became a cult classic after being prominently featured in a scene from Jonathan Demme's 1991 film '' The Silence of the Lambs''. "Goodbye Horses" is a song recorded by American singer Q Lazzarus. It was written by Q Lazzarus's bandmate, William Garvey, and released in 1988, with an extended version being released three years later. It is a synth-pop, dark wave, new wave, and dance song with lyrics based on "transcendence over those who see the world as only earthly and finite" and androgynous vocals from Q Lazzarus.
