Tyler Pursel
Tyler Pursel is an American songwriter, producer, recording engineer and session instrumentalist. Work Pursel began as a touring keyboardist and occasional guitarist for Gym Class Heroes in 2006. In 2007, he arranged and produced the dance-pop album ''Regional Community Theater'' by Ladybirds, and played keyboards on ''Stronger, Faster, Science'' by Grace Gale. Pursel received writing credit for several songs on ''The Papercut Chronicles II'' in 2011. Aside from touring and session work, Pursel runs his own studio Walnut Room Recordings in the suburbs of Philadelphia. The studio concentrates on documenting the works of local artists and creating original music for films, such as the independent film ''Namour''. He also works on commercials and for MTV, FOX and the E! Network. Pursel plays guitar with the Philadelphia post-hardcore band Goddamnit. ''The Papercut Chronicles II'' is the fifth and final studio album by American rap rock band Gym Class Heroes. It was released through Decaydance Records, Warner Bros. Records and Fueled by Ramen on November 15, 2011. It serves as a sequel to the group's second album, '' The Papercut Chronicles'' (2005). The album has sold 88,000 copies in the United States. Sierra Kay Kusterbeck (born December 18, 1990), better known as Sierra Kay, is an American singer-songwriter and model. She rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of the rock band VersaEmerge. Early life Kusterbeck was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She began taking vocal lessons in the third grade. She attended the arts-centric PCCA Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg for three years as a Musical Theatre major, but dropped out of high school to pursue music as a career. Career VersaEmerge Kusterbeck auditioned to be VersaEmerge's lead vocalist in 2006, by sending a tape of herself singing one of VersaEmerge's songs, "The Blank Static Screen". ''Regional Community Theater'' is the debut studio album from the American pop duo Ladybirds. Background Recording After the breakup of Ley Royal Scam in 2006, Tyler Pursel returned to working with Gym Class Heroes and writing dance-pop music on the side, while Teeter Sperber relocated to Oregon. When composing, Pursel originally intended for many vocalists to be featured on the album, however, contacting his former band-mate Sperber to sing one of the tracks ultimately led Pursel to ask Sperber to sing the entirety of ''Regional Community Theater.'' Most of the album was arranged while Pursel and Sperber were in different regions of the United States, but by January 2007, they joined at a Creep Records basement studio in West Chester, Pennsylvania to put the final touches on ''Regional Community Theater''. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". Ladybirds (stylized as LadybiRdS) were an American pop rock band from West Chester, Pennsylvania. History Prior to Ladybirds, Tyler Pursel and Teeter Sperber were recording and touring with Ley Royal Scam, a short-lived group that had a successful run opening several shows for Taking Back Sunday at the Bamboozle festival in 2005. They also self-released two demos, titled ''Pregnancy Scare'' and ''Sophomore Slump''. Within that year, the members of Ley Royal Scam separated, which allowed Pursel to rejoin Gym Class Heroes. Gym Class Heroes was an American rap rock band from Geneva, New York. The group formed in 1997 when Travie McCoy met drummer Matt McGinley during their high school gym class. The band's music displays a wide variety of influences, including hip hop, rock, funk, and reggae. After the addition of guitarist Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo and bassist Eric Roberts in 2003, the group was signed to Fueled by Ramen and Decaydance Records (Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz's independent record label), on which they released their debut album, '' The Papercut Chronicles''.
