''Capitol'' is an American soap opera which aired on CBS from March 29, 1982, to March 20, 1987, for 1,270 episodes. As its name suggests, the storyline usually revolved around the political intrigues of people whose lives are intertwined in Washington, D.C. Louis James Lipton (September 19, 1926 – March 2, 2020) was an American writer, actor, talk show host, and dean emeritus of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City. Marla Vene Adams (August 28, 1938 – April 25, 2024) was an American actress. She was best known for playing the roles of Belle Clemens on the CBS soap opera ''The Secret Storm'' (1968 to 1974) and Dina Abbott Mergeron on the CBS soap opera ''The Young and the Restless'' (1983 to 1986, 1991, 1996, 2008, 2017 to 2020).
