Tyler Gunara
Tyler Gunara (born August 18, 2002) is a Canadian ice dancer. With his skating partner, Miku Makita, he is the ISU Junior Grand Prix in France, 2021 JGP France silver medallist and 2022 Canadian Figure Skating Championships, 2022 Canadian Junior bronze medallist. Makita/Gunara finished in the top eight at the 2020 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, 2020 World Junior Championships and competed at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics. Personal life Gunara was born on August 18, 2002, in Vancouver, British Columbia. As of 2020, he attends the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. BC Centre Of Excellence
The "Champs International Skating Centre of British Columbia" (formerly known as the 'BC Centre of Excellence') is one of two major figure skating training centers in Canada. Located in Burnaby, British Columbia, it is home to many great national and international skaters. The programs there are overseen by a staff, including Joanne McLeod, who coaches 3-time Canadian men's national champion Emanuel Sandhu; Bruno Marcotte, who competed at the 2002 Winter Olympics; Victor Kraatz, the 2003 World Champion in ice dancing, and Maikki Uotila, who was a national champion in Finland. 2020 Canadian Figure Skating Championships
The 2020 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships were held on January 13–19, 2020, in Mississauga, Ontario. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance on the senior, junior, and novice levels. Although the official International Skating Union terminology for female skaters in the singles category is ''ladies'', Skate Canada uses ''women'' officially. The results were part of the Canadian selection criteria for the 2020 World Championships, the 2020 Four Continents Championships, and the 2020 World Junior Championships. 2018–19 ISU Junior Grand Prix
The 2018–19 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the 22nd season of a series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the junior-level complement to the 2018–19 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Skaters competed for medals in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance, as well as for qualifying points. Lake Placid Ice Dance International
The Lake Placid Ice Dance International is an annual ice dance competition held in Lake Placid, New York. It was first held in 1932. Egna Trophy
The Egna Spring Trophy, formerly the Gardena Spring Trophy (through 2016), is an annual international figure skating competition. It is held every spring in Val Gardena in Italy. Medals are awarded in men's and ladies' singles and sometimes in other disciplines. Since its inception in 1990, the event has included a junior-level competition. Peter Beaumont (figure Skater)
Peter Beaumont (born July 24, 2001) is an English ice dancer, who competes internationally for Canada. With his skating partner, Nadiia Bashynska, he is a two-time World Junior bronze medalist (2022, 2023), 2022–23 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, a four-time ISU Junior Grand Prix medallist, and the 2023 Canadian Junior champion. Beaumont formerly skated for Great Britain with partner Mia Jowitt, and was the 2015 British novice ice dance champion. Personal life Beaumont was born in Rotherham, England. Nadiia Bashynska (born November 15, 2003) is a Ukrainian-Canadian ice dancer, who competes internationally for Canada. With her skating partner, Peter Beaumont, she is a two-time World Junior bronze medalist (2022, 2023), 2022–23 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, a four-time ISU Junior Grand Prix medallist, and the 2023 Canadian Junior champion.
