Tyler Dietrich
Tyler Dietrich (born July 2, 1984, in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadians, Canadian professional ice hockey coach. He is currently working for Canada men's national ice hockey team, Team Canada. Career Dietrich played Western Hockey League, WHL hockey with the Moose Jaw Warriors, the Medicine Hat Tigers and the Everett Silvertips, interrupted by a stint at British Columbia Hockey League, BCHL teams Salmon Arm Silverbacks and Trail Smoke Eaters. In 2005, he enrolled at the UBC Thunderbirds, University of British Columbia, before transferring to the UNB Varsity Reds, University of New Brunswick one year later. Dietrich was significantly slowed down by injuries throughout his playing career. Spengler Cup
The Spengler Cup is an annual invitational ice hockey tournament held in Davos, Switzerland. First held in 1923, the Spengler Cup is often cited as the oldest invitational ice hockey tournament in the world. The event is hosted by the Swiss team HC Davos and played each year in Davos from 26 December to 31 inclusively. Currently, all games are held at the Eisstadion Davos. It was originally devised by Dr. Carl Spengler as a means to promote teams from German-speaking Europe, who might have suffered ostracism in the aftermath of World War I.
