True (TRU Album)
''True'' is the third studio album released by rap group, TRU. The album was released on July 25, 1995 for No Limit Records and features production from Al "Baby Jesus" Eaton, Kenneth Darnell Franklin, Percy Robert Miller (Master P), and Raymond Emile Poole (Mo B. Dick). Producer's Daryl Lee Anderson (DJ Daryl), Craig Stephen Lawson (Craig), Larry Dodson (Larry D), Mark Ogleton (CMT), Shon Adams (E-A-Ski), and Vyshonne Miller (Silkk the Shocker) are also featured on individual tracks. TRU (group)
TRU (an abbreviation of The Real Untouchables) was an American hip hop group, with members from New Orleans, Louisiana and Richmond, California, active from 1989 to 2005. Between 1992 and 1997 the band dwindled from a dozen members to just the main three brothers, Master P, C-Murder, and Silkk the Shocker. The group released six albums, incorporating the typical No Limit formula of G-funk rhythms married to hardcore gangsta lyrics. History Master P, his brothers C-Murder and Silk, his wife Sonya C, King George, Fonzo, Calli G, Markest Banks, Daniel Fry, Big Ed, Daria Kelly, Ea-Ski and CMT were credited as The Real Untouchables when '' Understanding the Criminal Mind'' was released in 1992. The Heatseekers charts were "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. Albums and songs appearing on Top Heatseekers would also concurrently appear on the ''Billboard'' 200 or ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Vyshonn King Miller (born June 18, 1975), better known by his stage name Silkk the Shocker (formerly Silkk), is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. The brother of Master P, Miller signed with his record label No Limit Records, an imprint of Priority Records to release his debut studio album, '' The Shocker'' (1996). Shawn Thomas (born January 14, 1972), better known by his stage name C-Bo, is an American rapper from Sacramento, California. Known for his extensive legal troubles, he was the first notable rapper to be jailed due to his lyrical content in 1998. His 1995 song, "Deadly Game" (with X-Raided) earned this distinction, as its lyrics were a scathing critique of political officials, including governor Pete Wilson, and California's Prop. 184 three-strikes law. Percy Robert Miller (born April 29, 1967), better known by his stage name Master P, is an American rapper, record producer, record executive, dancer, actor and entrepreneur. He founded the record label No Limit Records in 1991, which was relaunched into the spin-off labels New No Limit Records and No Limit Forever Records. C-Murder
Corey Miller (born March 9, 1971), better known by his stage name C-Murder, is an American rapper. He initially gained fame in the mid-1990s as a part of his brother Master P's label No Limit Records, primarily as a member of the label's supergroup, TRU. Miller went on to release several solo albums of his own through the label, including 1998's platinum '' Life or Death''. C-Murder has released nine albums altogether on six different labels, No Limit Records, TRU Records, Koch Records, Asylum Records, RBC Records, and Venti Uno.
