Troy Longmuir
Troy John Longmuir (born 27 May 1979) is an Australian rules footballer formerly in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is the older brother of former Fremantle player Justin Longmuir. He was recruited as the number-22 draft pick in the 1997 AFL draft from West Perth. He made his AFL debut for the Melbourne Football Club in Round 9, 1998, against Essendon. Longmuir played a total of 17 games for Melbourne in 1998 and 1999 before being traded to Fremantle at the end of the 1999 season in exchange for the club's second-round draft pick (#19 overall). There he made his debut for the club against Geelong in Round 1, 2000. He was a consistent player during the 2000–2002 seasons, however he dropped out of form in the following two years. Altogether, Longmuir played 55 games for Fremantle between 2000 and 2004. The West Perth Football Club, nicknamed the Falcons, is an Australian rules football club located in Joondalup, Western Australia. West Perth competes in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW) and is the oldest existing Australian rules football club in Western Australia. Northern Bullants
The Preston Football Club, which trades and plays as the Northern Bullants, is a long-established Australian rules football club based in Preston that plays in the Victorian Football League (VFL). It plays its home games at the Preston City Oval. The club was established in 1882 as the Preston Football Club. The club participated in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) between 1903 and 1911, and then since 1926. After World War II, the club was known as the Bullants, and wore a plain red guernsey with a white monogram. The club later became the Northern Bullants. It was affiliated with the Carlton Blues in the Australian Football League (AFL) from 2003 to 2020; and, from 2012 until 2020, the club adopted the colours and nickname of its AFL affiliate to become the Northern Blues. Reserves Affiliations Of Australian Football League Clubs
The Australian Football League stages the highest-level senior Australian rules football competition in the country. However, there has not been a league-wide Reserves competition since 1987, when the then-Victorian Football League expanded interstate to become the modern Australian Football League, with the AFL Reserves competition being shut down at the end of the 1999 season. Since that time, AFL-listed players who have not been selected in their senior teams are made eligible to play in one of three state leagues: the Victorian Football League, the South Australian National Football League and the West Australian Football League.
